SCAM alert.  Be aware!  This scammer is attempting to sell/install security software and/or worse, this could be and attempt to obtain credit card information for credit card fraud, or perhaps install virus/malware and then attempt further damage to computers .  The caller is a woman's voice and then a recording about a "security software you have installed on your computer last year ... now we see...

844-258-4079- keeps calling saying they have found a security breach on my computer. I have told them repeatedly that I am on the DO Not Call List, but they won't stop

Do you expect criminals to care about any lists, or laws? They keep calling because you're answering their calls--the people they love to bother since they know they've got a good chance at getting an answer of some kind. You want the calls stopped, stop answering entirely and be patient. They get tired of wasting time calling numbers that have no answer.

    844-258-4079 is bogus. 100% scam.
Male caller with South Asian accent (India-Pakistan-Bangladesh) says my PC network's security is "turned off" and needs to be fixed. I asked him for technical specifics, with reference to a web site or via e-mail. He said it was impossible to provide such information because of "security considerations." We didn't get to the pitch he was planning to make.

Definite SCAM!  I received 4 calls today on my cell and one at home from this number.  A message was left on the home number with a "blurry" voice saying something about security software installed on my laptop.  The same recorded message was heard when answering one of the cell phone calls.  The scammers often use a voice that is full of static or difficult to understand so that you will call back or continue the conversation to make sure that what they are saying isn't actually something important.  They control how difficult it is to understand them so that when they have info they actually want you to hear their voice suddenly becomes easier to understand.  Do yourself a favor and do not call this number back.

I think this is related  to Dell! Do any of the new posters have a Dell PC? I think Dell leaked my data because I get these calls asking for me by name and they have all my Dell pc info.

I agree, they have my dell PC info and know my name as well.  I think the leak occurred when I called dell  for customer support and had a customer service person from india try to remotely troubleshoot my touchscreen not working.  The person was legit (but who knows what he installed) and when the software upgrades didn't work he sent out a dell service person to replace the touchscreen, which now works.   I get these calls almost every day and just have to ignore them.  If you let them go far enough they will likely try to gain remote access to your computer and steal passwords, credit card and banking  information.

Dell leaked our info for sure! I complained and they keep denying it. They say "Protection of your data is a top priority. Sharing more detail here will help us investigate" and give a link https://marketing.dell.com/reportscams
