Received a text from this number saying an appointment I had on one date was changed to another, but I didn't have an appointment on the date they said was being changed. Told me to call 866-231-0701 if I had any questions.   Did not identify who they were.

After reading several posts, it seems logical that it is a texting service used by doctors to remind patients of upcoming appointments. The 2nd post has a phone number that goes to an Allergist in Knoxville, so it is likely a national service.

I received a text from this number welcoming to my portal and telling me to log in. No identity from sender. If this is not a scam, the sender needs to do better.

text from number stating "Binoy" has an appt at Wellmed at Riverstone on (date) click to cancel, reply STOP to opt out. I looked up wellmed and it's an odd site. cannot tell if it is a HIGHLY complex scam (I have been sent to a fake website by phone scammer before) I didn't click on the link but it's a concern someone  has all my medical info and I'm going to get a bill

If you don't have any appointments coming up, then why worry about it?  If you have a "portal" website from a doctor you visit, then log in and check. If you don't use any "portal", then ignore it because it is probably a misdial.

Sadly this just another example of scammers spoofing a legitimate number/service trying to get you to call, text. or login so they can steal your info. Don't fall for it people. If you recently had a medical issue and are actually expecting an appointment soon or to be asked to setup a portal account, go directly to your insurance or doctor's website or call them. They will help you the legitimate way. And if you aren't expecting anything medical related then that just doubly proves it's a scam. Report it as spam and block the number.

Received a message that important information had been posted to my portal and gave a correct email to click to register. The email they gave was for my son who died almost 7 years ago. Very strange indeed.
