Called and said that i was going to be sued for wire fraud for not paying a payday loan from a company called Bell Capital. Just mentioned that a motion was filed with the county courts.

Well, in order to file a motion, then you have to actually have a court case going on.  This means that you have to be properly served according to the local courthouse Rules of Civil Procedure.  At that point you have 20 to 30 days to file an answer or any of several types of motions.  Wire fraud is a criminal offense.  You don't get sued for it.  This is simply a debt collection/process server extortion scam.

Please note that you can call your local courthouse and ask if your name has been entered as the defendant in any type of civil suit.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Got a call telling me they will be sending a Sheriff to serve me and I owe $521.01 and I would only be able to wire them money and in 5 to 7 days they will mail me a confirmation # stated I paid it in full.  I asked who they were and they said county mediator services and the company was that sent us your info was Highland Hogan, llc. I asked for a phone #. I told the lady that I did not get a wire transfer in 2014 from anyone and won't that show up on my credit report and she said no they don't report anything.  When i called the company the lady gave to me it rang and went to voicemail stating in the automated recording you have reached 303-929-8833. I looked up the company and did not find anything. I even looked back in my bank records nothing.  Scam

Yes, mediator is a term used by debt scammers to scare you so that they can extort money from you.  No need to call anyone.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/
