received a call from a local number but left this number stating a business matter and that I needed to contact them but left no name.

Same with me just now

Wife received the call, but wanted me.  I don't use her number.

Did you ever find out who it was? They called me today the same way.

It's from a collection company which she said is Pfire Recovery. I couldn't understand what she was saying, so I asked her to spell it and I swear that's what she said. I still couldn't quite understand her, so I quit asking. They keep calling looking for my cousin and if they call again after today I'm reporting them since I've asked them to quit calling.

Received a call for my ex husband wanting a call back.  I haven't talked to him in almost 10 years.  And he doesn't have my cell phone so obviously they are skip tracing using anyone who used to be associated with him.  So not ok

I called them and asked them to remove me and they said they would but didn't ask my number or his name.  And I didn't call from the number they called me at.

Got woken up from a badly needed nap by this nonsense. Not cool. Let it go to voicemail. Pre-recorded computer voice spouted some junk: "Urgent...bla bla bla...Account number...bla bla bla...collections...call back...(844) 270-2436" No mention of my, or any other name. No mention of their name. Caller id # (323) 792-1501. Meh...lame

If no luck - ask to only communicate with you through mail, because you are afraid of fraud.

I have had this phone number for almost eight years but the debt collectors still call for the person who had this phone number before it was given to me.  The caller is asking for this person as have several other debt collectors over the past eight years,  It's annoying so I let all my calls go to voicemail.

You need to send them a certified, return receipt "not me" letter, file complaints with the proper agencies: Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

And also realize that you can sue them for TCPA violations.

I have recieved several calls from this  number, no company name , they always manage to call when    im at work. It sounds like a robot that leaves a message saying its a serious matter concerning my account and they leave the 844-270-2436 and when i call that number no one ever answers,  and i know i dont owe anyone. This cant be a real company.

"UNK CALLER" has called our numer twice--26 and 29 October--regarding "a serious business matter".  One voice was female, second was male...regarding a supposed account #1049010, saying to call that account number in to still another telephone number "844-270-2436."  The first number was a local number "210-819-4539."  The person they wished to speak with was something sounding like "Prunella James."  Since there is no one by that name here, and no such "account," we assumed they had misdialed, or it was a SCAM.  After the second call, we looked up the 819-4539 number, and found it was located in Schertz, TX, near the intersections of Diamond Falls, Gamble, and Prairie Lane.  We have no idea who this might be, but are reporting this to our Security personnel.

robo-calls from these fools (301-245-0204/844-270-2436) on numerous occasions for account no.1018036...we have no business with these fools, who irk my 95-year old mother...I left them a voice-mail threatening them with an FBI raid...
