844-282-4399

Received text spam purporting to be from "PenStateEmpCreditUnion" asking me to call 844-282-4399. This appears to be some sort of scam that's going around Pennsylvania. I did not try calling the number.

Same thing, a text from that number saying an alert for my number from PenStateEmpUnion.  Looked up psecu number and does not match so some scam.

Just received an urgent message from the REAL PSECU stating that they are aware of this scam.

We are aware that some members may have received a text message or phone call appearing to be from PSECU, asking the recipient to call an 844 or 855 area code number. Examples include, but are not limited to, 844.272.8403 and 855.284.5506. These have been verified as spam targeting both PSECU members and non-members. It is in no way affiliated with PSECU.

Do not call the phone number listed on the text message, or provide any information via phone. Instead, delete the message or hang up. It is imperative that members do not provide any personal account information. If you have provided your information as part of this scam, please contact us immediately at 800.237.7328.

As always, PSECU will not reach out to our members and ask for any identifying information.

I sent the number, 844 828 4399 to PSECU via secure internal messaging on the PSECU app.

Got a spam text that read as follows:
PenStateEmpCreditUnion Alert for [personal phone number]. Contact 844-282-4399

Clearly spam. Do not call.
