This number called and told me they were getting ready to send me the police after me. Would not say why.

Yes they told me the same thing. Must be fraud..alot of people in this world are desperate for money.

Got 2 calls back to back from them saying they will report the claim to my employer

Some chick from this number called me with completely inaccurate information. Wrong creditor name.Wrong amount owed (3 x's the amount). She initially left a voicemail message indicating she would be deducting money from my bank account. She claimed to be from "L T Maxwell and Associates". Well, I'm filing a police report. That'll teach 'er.

Said I got a payday loan for 350 in 2012 told them i.dont remember that her name was Denise Mosley. She had some info about me she act.like a kid telling me I had to pay 2850 crazy scam never got a  loan and she gave me the name of a.loan comlany they are on the scam alert

This same lady called me today about a debt from 2012 for over 6k....said they would do a wage garnishment for this debt.....

Got a call January 25 said I owe 790 dollar to a check cashing place  and how much I need to pay and her name was Denise Mosley I have proof that they are not supposed to threaten you nor harass u even if u do saving the number and calling a lawyer

Got 2 similar calls. Said they were doing an asset check and location check on me and everything, but haven't received anything in mail. Has anyone had anything more than just phone calls from these people?

I've received 2 calls from them so far. Left messages both times saying they are running an asset check, location check, and are contacting my HR department about case ### and will file to garnish my wages... Woman's name is Linda Hall from LT Maxwell & Associates. But I can't find anything online other than this forum. Couldn't even find this when they first called me. Has anyone actually talked to them? Who are they?

Wages are garnished by court order...not because a cold caller says so.  If they call again,  DEMAND written proof that is MAILED to you  (and wait for the excuses to begin).

Nobody knows who they area.  It is clear that they are debt scammers.  They will not do ANYTHING they are threatening to do.  They
are attempting to scare money out of you.  Don't fall for it.  Garnishment is by court order.  Garnishments are strictly controlled by
state law and some states do not allow them.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking),  the only thing they understand.

These idiots called my mother yesterday asking for me. Said they would garnish my pay if I didn't call them back. I called, got "Ms. Taylor" the supervisor on the phone. Told her someone had called my mom threatening to garnish my wages, she denied that ever happened. When I asked her what this was in reference to, she asked for my phone number. I gave her three phone numbers connected to me, she said sorry I don't have any of those numbers, whats your name? I said, you all called me, how in the hell do you call someone and not have their number in your system? HUGE SCAM!!! DONT GIVE THESE PEOPLE A DAMN DIME!!!

They called saying I took a payday loan out in 2013 and never finished paying on it which was not true. Said that I owed 750 but would settle for 375 if paid today. They had alot of my information somehow and I'm not sure how. They said it would be pulled from my bank account.  When I asked how if the bank account they are describing is closed how would you debit that money. Then insisted I give them my bank information to settle the account today. There is no record of these people at all. I am not paying them a damn dime. This is a scam , do not give them any information at all.

Give your state attorney general's office a call.  They have made an illegal threat.  It might also be a good idea to contact your bank.

Did they ever try to debit money from your account or ever contact you again?

Called inquiring about our ex daughter in law of 18 years.  Are You kidding me.  How did you get my cell number?  Court date.  Get a message to her.  So he took the ladies name and this number.  I told him not to get in touch with our ex d in law.  Let them find her.  He said he will pass the info to her.  This is how people get hoodwinked.
