I received a call from them regarding owing money to a Santander /drive financial company from whom i had leased a car threw many years ago. The person refused to give me a name when i asked for it and i explained the debt to Santander/Drive financial had already been paid since 10/2015. They tried telling me that santander sold them the debt to collect because i never paid and that they were going to submit it to my credit report and failure to pay could lead to wage garnishment, I  asked them for a ref # and email for me to send proof of the payment and they stated they didn't want it and i had to pay it I asked them to hold while i conferenced call in with Santander and they hung up. So I Called them back at 844-282-6441 and was given email of csupport@lcmaxwell.com att ms forman to send proof to, because they seemed so reluctant about giving me info about this supposed debt I went back and called Santander and spoke to Kyle he stated i was paid in full owing no balance and to disregard because it was a scam call.

Call received saying they were going to take money from bank account on debt owed. When I called back 18442826441man would not give any info about debt when I said this is fraud man yelled see you in court and hung up on me.

Definitely a scam. I just reported them.

Called me today from an autodialer phone.  I picked up recording said "This is a courtesy call to remind you that your scheduled payment was coming out in two days.  Hit "0" for operator.  This is Wanda.  What company am I connected to, L C Maxwell.  What is L C Maxwell?  What is your name?  No, what is L C Maxwell, we have a file here... Same old scam stuff.  I hung up.  Wanda called back from the 844 # to tell me I was rude.  Love it.  Proceeded to say this call was an "Asset Discovery Call" to prove employment.  I told her I worked for attorneys and knew my rights.  She replied, I'd better pay and hung up.  Yeah right.  Hold your breath until I respond or do.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking),  the only thing they understand.

I received 3 calls in less than a minute from this number. I answered the third call and got a recording stating that "my bank account would be debited for the amount I owed", but it never stated how much or who I owed the money to then the call ended. I called back the lady that answered asked for my phone number, looked it up and said that she could not find my phone number in her database and that the automated dialing system dialed the wrong number. So I'm not sure how that happened, but be careful when answering these types of calls.

Just received a call from Lc maxwell,  in reference to taking money from my account to pay off a debt, they won't get it.  I have never in my life  had a payday loan,  this is a real  SCAM  and  these people should be stopped! !!!

I have received similar calls that try to sound like they are a government agency also stating that my name ans ssn are connected with fraud or some other crime and that I need to contact them by the end of the day. I never respond and they finally stop calling. Nothing has ever happened and I have never been brought up on charges, so I assume that it was a scam call!

This company called my mother about me telling them that if they didn't hear from me today that they would be pulling moneys owed out my bank account I don't have a bank account I don't have a bank account they have also called my husbands mother as well we live in Idaho so does my parents but my husbands parents live in Colorado.  And some how they are calling from the city's area codes and when calling the number back it ask to enter 8 digit online code WTH scam scam scam

I got a phone call asking for my dad (who is deceased) and my mom. they couldnt tell me why they had my cell phone number and not my mom, When my mom called them back they were inquiring about a car my mom had sold 4 years ago and had recieved the title to...but yet they said she owes 11K on the car

Ray, drop this issue. They're scammers, plain and simple.

My parents received a computerized call stating that they are this LC Maxwell. It proceeded to say they'll be "debiting funds" tomorrow. No amount and then they left a 5 digit file number. They also said they're open until 8pm and I've called several times since 5pm & they are closed. No sense to me and I've even called the company who they state they're from, and they have no record of this number in the system. Beware of this scam. Scum bags!
