Appears to be a bogus computer services firm.  Wants $99.99 to remove trojan viruses from computer.

I just got the same call. Was on the phone with David Anderson who swore that he was with Microsoft Technical Support. He was calling from 1-844-282-7807 extension 1009. Then he transferred me to another dude, sounded middle eastern, that wanted me to pay $99.99 for some services. I told him no and he flew off the handle. He got abusive and irate so I hung up on him. Is there a way to turn this over to the FBI?

I received a call from "Microsoft" today wanting to do something to my computer because it is sending them messages.  A mr. James Foster #114 with an Indian accent claims to have access to my machine.  Which I don't doubt because some viruses are currently inhabiting the space but they will be soon removed.  the number was 844-282-7807

I received a call from this company claimed they was calling from Microsoft Alex Samson #1006 toll free no:1-844-282-7807. Mr Samson had a Indian accent. claim to have access to my computer; my computer was sending Microsoft messages my computer was taken over by hackers. For a fee of 279 dollars that could fix the problem. I was suspicious of the call and hung up.

like many others on this page- received a call 844-282-7807 from Daniel Richard- our computer is being hacked!  I think NOT-  get a honest job!

I received a phone call from Mr. McKenzie 844-282-7807 Ext. 327, was told he is from Microsoft, and our computer has a virus.
I am 75 years old, with parkinsons desease, and was told the computer will blow up, so I asked him any charges, no for free,  Told him to go and fix it, he connected to my computer, after half hour demanded $300.00 for services not performed, I told me no thank you, this morning Oct. 16, 2014 he locked the computer with a password needed, my wife called was told they will not release the computer until we pay $300.00, and also was told no one works for free.

I got a call from a Max Hopkins with a deep Indian accent who said he was with Microsoft & they have been receiving many errors messages from my computer.  I said my computer was working fine & he doesn't sound like a Max Hopkins but a Raj Gupta. He said his father was Australian & mother Indian.!  He said I couldn't tell about the problem as it's hidden deep inside my hard drive. I said I didn't realize Microsoft had technicians in NY.  He said "oh, Yes. We are at 11 Times Square".  I said I would call him back (I suspected it was a scam).  He gave me 1-844 282 7807 x 1008.  When I called back the next day no one identified themselves & a recording said the number I wanted was busy.

I got call from this Wyoming number.  Thought it was a relative so I picked up.  Guy by the name of Alex Samson.  Very heavy accent and could hardly understand him.  Said he was from Microsoft and that hackers had broken into my computer.  Proceeded to get me to allow him to take control of my computer......obvious mistake.....I got totally sucked in.  He finally got to the pitch after trying his best to scare me.....then I realized I had been had.  My screen was frozen and I could only shut down the modem and ten manually shut off computer.  Not sure where to go from here.  Will get a friend who is good computer person to come and see if he can salvage my equipment and assess the damage.

I got a phone call today from area code: 307-243-5143. The guy with a heavy Pakistan accent said he was with Microsoft Windows and was calling because of the errors I had submitted to Microsoft the past few days. Yes, I have had major problems with malware and virus since Saturday. He had me peform a few commands in Windows Run window to show my event log that had thousands of error and virus messages. He asked me to try and delete some of them, but of course I could not. He told me the problem was that my Micosoft programs had stopped working and my Microsoft anti-malware program was also some of the problem.
Next he was going to transfer me to another guy that would walk me through other commands so that they could verify my registration number on my Microsoft License on my PC and then remote into my computer to solve my issues. I told the guy I was not comfortable letting a stranger calling from a 307 area code have control over my computer. He said he understood.
So then I asked him if there was a number to call in America to speak with someone from Microsoft. He said sure, sure...you can call the Florida office at 844-282-7807 and verify that I was speaking to Microsoft and then ask for him, James Foster at ext# 1002. I said, so you are in Florida and he said YES! I don't think so and I tried looking up the 844 number and it has no listing. I'm sure not going to  call back.

Someone named David Anderson said he was getting messages from my computer and was calling from Microsoft. I asked him how I could verify who he was. He asked me to call back and verify it, then ask for him at extension #1009. I will not be calling back!

Fortunately he did not get me on team viewer.    The man had a heavy accent, difficult to understand.

A fellow called, Dave, and said he was from the I.T. department of Microsoft. He seemed to have a foreign accent characteristic of those from India or Pakistan. My "caller  ID" unit did not receive any information. I asked his number and he gave me 844-282-7807. Obviously NOT Microsoft. Thanks for your help.

I got a call from a james with a deep Indian accent who said he was with Microsoft & ask me to turn on my computer to get a access in it. [***] man go and get a loyal job. may god give you a brain to think about the diffrence between good and bad

I got a similar call today from 844-282-7807.  First a woman called with a Mexican accent which I couldn't understand so I said someone would have to call back.  A man came on and his accent was not understandable either.  So I hung up.  They kept calling back at least 3 or 4 times.  I asked my neighbor to call this number and she spoke to Alex Samson (which seemed like an unusual name for someone with an Indian/Pakistani accent.  He also said Windows IT.  Neigbhor asked if he meant Microsoft and he said yes.  Going well for him until he wanted 149.99 to fix her computer.  No and goodby.  (Please note, Jeanne is 92 years old- this is awful  and now she's concerned there's some way they can make her pay it.
