- Peggy HicksThis lady called for my daughter saying they needed her phone number to give to an officer that was on his way to deliver a warrant for her arrest for missing a court date. She then said if we don't hear from you, from now on. - then it disconnected. She gave the phone # 844-282-8515 to call back and reference P1737-131652. I hung up on her twice and she called back and threatened arrest. The 3rd time I let her go to voice mail.
- Caller: Julia from career services
- MlkThis number called my mom stating they were trying to get me to serve a summons. Had to call back in 2 hours or they were comfortable to the house. My mom is 70. She was so worked up. These people need stopped.
- SharCalled my husband and me 4 times stating they needed to serve me with legal documents and a summons that was time sensitive. Each time they said it was their final attempt to contact and it was to our advantage to call them back ASAP. Gave us a case number. Would not say who they were or who they represented because "the law forbid them to disclose any information". The law not only allows but requires them to properly identify themselves so we can verify if they are legitimate. Obviously they are not.

- peeoffaboutscam replies to Yvonne| 1 replyI got a call from 844282-8575 on Tuesday at my place of work. Stating if i did not call back within the hour the police would be sent to deliver a summons. I call back using my cell phone. They picked up the line saying "legal department." They asked for my case number that was given to me. They referred back to an account that had been shut down 10 years ago that had not been paid fully. Saying if i did not pay the full amount immediate they would press further charges and i would have to deal with court. They said i could settle up for a smaller amount if i paid today. I DID NOT, but asked them to send me something about this in the mail. As they had my address. Now today there is a $42.75 charge to a DENNY's that is 9 hours away from me. Who do we report this to? and how do we get them busted?
- CJI just received this exact call at my work and when I returned the call they guy was rude, and answered Legal. Of course they had some of my info to sound legit, and when i didnt agree with him he hung up and said good luck in court. This is the second scam that has called my work. Firest one said the same thing but that I had to pay 1900 to Best Buy which was flase. This seems to be some new scam going around. Be careful
- Cathy Bega replies to peeoffaboutscamSame thing happened to me with these people. You need to call equifax to report it and put a fraud alert on your social security number. here is equafax fraud alert line(800)525-6285 they will notify the other credit reporting agencies for you
- Cathy B.| 1 replySame thing happened to me today with these people. If this is happening to you, I say you should tell them that you really want to pay and you need to call right back. then call local law enforcement on the line and have them join the call and try to extract info from these people like their address or anything that could be used to bust them. I really want these [***] to go down, they had my son thinking he was going to go to jail for "outstanding" debt. he is a kid. These people are sick.

- BigA replies to Cathy B.Yeah, I am sure these people would gladly give their real location. We deal with this everyday here. You need to instruct your son on how debt collection actually works and how finances work. The reason these people are so successful is because too many people have no idea how credit, financing, and debt collection works. Start here:

A woman stated she was calling from the county and had tried to send me a letter 2 times. She needed to confirm that I was going to be home the next 1 hour because she was going to have a police officer serve me paperwork to appear in court. I asked what it was for, she said she did not know and provided me with the 844-282-8575 number and a file# beginning with a "P". She asked if I was home. I said nope. She asked me to call the number within the next 2 hours and to be prepared to have someone receive the court ordered summons to appear. After I hung up, I looked up the number, and I see all of you have been receiving the same thing. I'm hoping they don't show up. My son works for the local PD and I have already alerted him.
