IRS is after me for fraud on my tax return. Scammers

Just called and left a message about fraud on my tax file. scam.

Weak tax scam. Computer generated voice. There is no way the IRS would contact you this way.

call from 844-285-3893 from "800 Service" at 10:43am on Oct 1, 2016.  As soon as caller began his conversation, in a threatening tone of voice and said it was from IRS I hung up.  WHY can't we catch/prosecute these thieves?

Because they're overseas in places like India and Pakistan.

Received message stating that fraud was discovered on my tax return.

Caller states that I have made a fraudulent statement in my tax form and I need to contact them at this telephone number.

It is another robocall used to scare people. Complete scam.

IRS FRAUD ACCUSING me of fraud... i kept him oh phone as long as possible then asked cussed him out...he laughed cuz i had him going...it was ME that got him... officer Darcyolley oh yeah right!

I received a call from this number today, and they informed me i was hiding information on my tax return and needed to call them immediately.  I did call the number, and when I said I was returning their call, they just hung up.  The IRS does not use the phone for their mode of contact.  All their communication is handled through the mail.  Do not let them scam you!!!

They claim to be IRS, yeah right!

Recorded 'WARNING' from the IRS... oh sure.  Blatant fraud.  Hope no one falls for it.

I literally had them repeat 3 times who they were. Told them they were not the [***] irs. 💁 called back later and they answered as the criminal investigative unit. Riiight. A fool.

Received a call from 844-285-3893 - did not pick up but they left a message stating they are the IRS found a fraudulent tax return.
I just deleted the message and did not return their call.  The IRS knows where I am if this is legitimate.

Might be real if I had filed taxes but it has been 10 years because I'm on full disability!  Scammers

No, if the IRS did have a problem with your taxes, they would send you mail via USPS.  They don't make threatening phone calls demanding you pay immediately.

Got a call from 844-285-3893, it was a recording saying they were the IRS & that there was a fraud commited on my behalf from my taxes. I called them back they wouldn't give me info the first time so I called back talked to someone else. They told me that the IRS issued a warrant for my arrest, I owed more than $2000  from back taxes from the year 2002 - 2009.  I don't know why they said that, I didn't file taxes then. They said I should overdraft my bank account in order to pay them. Then they said they were going to turn over the info to the police department in my area so I can be arrested, they will be seeing me in court where I will lose the case & spend 3 years in prison. I told they "Go ahead, I'll see you then." This is a scam because the IRS agents will not tell you to overdraft your bank account.

I just received a voice mail  call from an poorly automated system telling me I have a fraud issue on my taxes.  Caller was 844-642-4289

tax fraud I am hiding from IRS.  Time urgent, call immediately.

I gave up answering calls from numbers I don't know. Not sure why people bother to either, but anyway thanks for the IRS scam info provided by others. Good luck threating us Canadians. LOL!
