This is a scam!! Went through the same phishing trip last year. They try to say you had a payday loan done over the internet. BS

They have continuously tried to call me and my son saying they have the legal right to pursue all my contacts.  I am current on all my loans.  I even called my loan places and it was not them.  This is not the first time they have done this to me.  They have done it several years ago too.

Called them back. Guy named Justin answered and said I owed on a payday loan from 6 years ago. I asked for a verification of the debt in writing which he wouldn't give me. I told him I wasn't going to pay on a debt from 6 years ago I know nothing about or give out my bank information. He said I was a funny guy, I knew this was my debt and I just don't want to pay it then hung up.

This is supposedly NP Group....or at least that's what they told me this time. They state they are attempting to collect a debt from my husband from 5 years ago, from a company that was out of business when the alleged debt procured. It is definitely a scam!!

Bot call stating they were a location & tracing service and if I didnt call them back they were allowed to call any listed references.  They left no name or to what it pertained to, of course.  Any debts I had are long out of the statute of limitations and any references I gave are long gone &/or dead. So, good luck with that. :)

Beligerant woman left message on my voice mail saying i have to call them @ same number and report my whereabouts, immediately or they would take action??? Did not identify name or firm, business, etc. Very nasty!  No clue what this is about.   Not going to call them, either!  Has 2 be a scam.

It is a scam. The goal it to scare people into calling them where they will then try to scare people into giving credit cart/bank info from which they can empty your account.

They have called my house phone and my cell phone. dont know how they get my cell number, but i dont have any debt and they are nothing but a scam. the govt needs to step up and do something about this! its threats! thats illegal. also call from 1-877-219-7421

Just received the same call stating his name was "Joe" from the NP Group trying to collect on a debt from years past from a fake company.

I just got this call. Woman Bot left message on my voice mail saying I have to call them at the same number immediately or they would take action and if I didn't call them back they were allowed to call any listed references. Left no name.Something needs to be done about these scammers!

i just got a call from a really pushy guy saying I owed on a PDL from 2011. I asked for proof of this or the company name, and he couldn't provide either. I knew this was a scam, because I didnt get a PDL, so I told him to go F himself :)

Same thing.  Said I took a payday loan for $300 online using my old work email.  I never took any payday loan for $300 online and I certainly would have never had used my work email for something like that

They called and left a message stating that they were looking for [used my maiden name]. They stressed that it was important that they find me and said that they could legally call my references if I didn't return their call.  Bunch of BS.

Just got a message from these [***] stating " they" needed to know my whereabouts and to call back immediately or everyone I've known since birth will be harrassed  relentlessly. Gimme a break.

Definitely a scam. I don't owe anything to anyone. And they are threatening my brother all the time. They don't call anyone but him. If they were legitimate and wanted to find me, they could. It's so frustrating.

Had this done before and know it is a scam.  How can I stop these harassing phone calls???

They are calling saying they are looking for my mom, been happening for a couple years now from different phone #'s saying different things, all a scam!

Call blocker is your best bet.  Also do NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking),  the only thing they understand.
