- JerryThis is a scam!! Went through the same phishing trip last year. They try to say you had a payday loan done over the internet. BS
- Call type: Debt collector
- UpssetThey have continuously tried to call me and my son saying they have the legal right to pursue all my contacts. I am current on all my loans. I even called my loan places and it was not them. This is not the first time they have done this to me. They have done it several years ago too.
- Call type: Debt collector
- TylerCalled them back. Guy named Justin answered and said I owed on a payday loan from 6 years ago. I asked for a verification of the debt in writing which he wouldn't give me. I told him I wasn't going to pay on a debt from 6 years ago I know nothing about or give out my bank information. He said I was a funny guy, I knew this was my debt and I just don't want to pay it then hung up.

- Stephanie| 1 replyThis is supposedly NP Group....or at least that's what they told me this time. They state they are attempting to collect a debt from my husband from 5 years ago, from a company that was out of business when the alleged debt procured. It is definitely a scam!!
- Caller: NC Group
- Call type: Debt collector
- RedBot call stating they were a location & tracing service and if I didnt call them back they were allowed to call any listed references. They left no name or to what it pertained to, of course. Any debts I had are long out of the statute of limitations and any references I gave are long gone &/or dead. So, good luck with that. :)
- Caller: No name given

____________
Serious debt scammers. Block and ignore any calls received from any of the listed groups above!
_____________
Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a dime until the debt is validated
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.
If they are bothering you, report them:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.) The same goes for endless telephone harassment
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because, being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking), the only thing they understand.- Caller: Informational post
