They called to threaten me

What is it???

SO I called the Fair trade commission and the civil litigation dept in DC to verify the information they were so vaguely giving me and the company they are representing went out of business in 2014, i wad told to ask for several pieces of information and they in turn said I would be served by tomorrow Thurs and they will see me in court would not answer my questions or provide the information. Safe to say this is a scam

It was a tape message that called me and said I would be served within 72 hrs with the police possibly coming to my house. Hung up as its obviously a scam!

Left message that I had legal suit against me and they will come to my house or job in 72 hrs.  SCAM!    Do not call them!

Nothing like turning ur world upside down with a call like that...these callers shouldn't be allowed, end of story!!

Had the same.  Said would arrive in 72 hours at home and to make sure all guns and dogs were away lol.  And if they can't get .me at home they will arrive at work and my supervisor must be present.

Its a scam.  The caller is trying to scare you into paying a bill you don't owe.  If you talk to them they'll give you a chance to buy your way out of trouble, but you have to pay the bill right-this-second by giving them your bank account or credit card number.

You can safely ignore them.  Block the calls.

These scammers are breaking US law.  Most of them are calling from 3rd World countries where scamming dumb Americans is not illegal and the local police do not cooperate with police from the US.  They cannot be caught.

I work at a hospital and they called the main number and a recording of someone the threating to serve legal papers played (amount other threats). How stupid are these people to try and run this scam on a hospital. What's next are they going to try and scam the police station.

Same as all of the above, i called back because i'm tired of these types of calls.  Went round and round with a woman, it was kind of fun.
Gave back what they were given.

Calling from civil litagation dept they would be serving paperscin 72 hours to ny home with a police officer keep all pets and fire arms in safe  place i could call to reschedule the delivery of paper wishing me god speed. Never ask a name or nothing. Would even come fo my job have a supervisor ir security to verify. Who are these people

SCAM! Extortion racket. Don't buy it! Hang up. They have NOTHING! This scam has been going on for a decade now.

Don't be scared. Just hang up.

Civil Litigation Department/Legal Support Services/Secure any guns and animals/72 hours to respond Scam.

Call from a variety of numbers  CIDs are usually “Civil Lititigation Department” or “Legal Support Serivces” or some variation.  Stock messages left on the phone include statements such  as “you have 72 hours to respond “, or “you are going to be served along with a uniformed officer” or  “make sure all guns and animals are secured”, or words to that effect.

Messages left in the above format and containing those words and phrases are a flashing red light for a debt collecting scam.
These callers don’t ID themselves and their CIDs are usually meaningless.
I did find this though:  An entry at  844-253-3965 on 800notes showed  a CID of      S & L Litigation.
This may be S & L Financial,  a so-called "mediation and legal office" which is scammer double-talk for debt collector.  Supposedly Sage Lincoln Financial Firm, in Ontario CA.   According to an entry date 6-12-2015 at 844-416-7133 on 800notes, shows that they have a mail drop address at: 3281 East Gausti Road, 7th Floor, Ontario, California, 91761
This Gausti Road address is also used by Westpoint Group,  another scamming outfit.
