Thanks. I went to an emergency room. I was told by an urgent care to go there. I asked urgent care how much. They said $98. I told the er if it was more than 98$ I would leave. I told everyone I spoke to. I paid at that time. I then received a bill for an additional $355.00. I am not paying it. It was for a prescription for ostomy supplies. Screw them. They never even looked at me. And I told them in advance I would leave for more than $98

Verbal agreements aren't as valuable in Court as a written one. You didn't sign anything, did you?

OK, let me get this straight.  You needed a prescription, so instead of going to your regular doctor you went to and urgent care place?  They told you they could not give you a prescription so they told you to go to the ER?  Then they told you the ER would only be $98?  How would they know?  Further, I have never, ever been to an ER where I did not have to sign forms which included guarantee of payment.  Those forms also clearly explained that the doctor charges would not be included in the charges for the ER.  You went to the most expensive place you could possibly go  to for a simple prescription and now you are complaining because of the bill?  Nothing in your story makes any sense.

Unless you are wheeled in on a gurney by paramedics in an unconscious state, then papers were signed.

This is a scam

I get calls from these people.  I contacted them one time and they told me what it was for and I told them that my daughter HAD insurance when she went and that they needed to contact the insurance company (Tricare).  They said they would and I also asked for a EOB.  I never got anything from them except calls saying I have to pay.

I received a call from this number and it showed up as a spam risk on my phone so I didn't answer. The recorded message was about a medical bill that had nothing to do with my recent medical visit so people beware this is a scam
