This is yet another number associated with the latest scammers in town, Recovery Management Services. This is the number that appears on their fake correspondence. They are another in the long list of extortion-by-phone outfits. They all operate the same way: They typically acquire old lists of folks who have done online financial transactions such as payday loans, online cash advances, sometimes even internet purchases -- Then they call & claim that you owe for an alleged outstanding debt from 3-5-7-10 years ago, & if you don't pay them immediately over the phone, then they will proceed with wage garnishment, legal proceedings, criminal charges.....These jokers even have a fake website set up: http://www.recoverymanagementservicesrms.com/ .....Hard to tell where they are actually located, as the initial incoming call is from a spoofed Oxnard CA number (805-366-4635), the e-mail I demanded they send lists their address as Cheektowaga NY (844-327-7002), but then the fake website lists their address as Minneapolis MN & has a number 855-764-8843.....BEWARE!!!!

I got a call today stating I was being sue because of a payloan I took out is this real

Called from a 614-556-4325 number and left a message saying their name was Samantha and that they have possession of a court summons to be delivered to my home and place of employment. Said I want to call her back if I want to get the details of the case.

Dealing with the same thing today.  I called back and told them that my lawyer advised me to request documentation of them being the authorized purchaser or that they own the debt....the letter I finally got back has the NY address and has none of the information I requested.   Still haven't quite figured out how to get these people to go away.   I honestly thought that throwing out the lawyer thing would help.

Yes contact your bank.  These people are scam artists.

These people are scam artists. My wife and I have been receiving calls from these people for years saying they're serving court papers to our address.  Even if it were a legit credit collection (which they're not) is illegal to threaten lawsuits if there's no intention.  They also call our families and tell them that we aren't paying are books and are going to be arrested. They even found out my ex wife's phone number and contacted her. I've tried reporting them but have had no success. So now when they call I just mess with them. They started calling me white trash, worthless bum and said they were going to call me all day and in the middle of the night until I give them my bank info. DO NOT GIVE THESE CROOKS ANY INFO!!!

I got the exact same call the other day from this same number it's a scam I called the police department to make a report and they say someone within the week had the same thing happen to them the police officer advised me to check my credit report and see if what they said was on it of course it wasn't

Had a Lisa Cunningham call first! Then a Richard Wilcox. The first women I called and had told her a class action suit will be filed. The second call from Wilcox he said this call will be recorded and I said so is this one.  He said you going to let me finish? Or do you want to Seattle in court! I said court. That was the end of that conversation!
