First call from "APS" @ 602-371-7171 said to call the 844 number and pay the bill. Total SCAM. Per real APS

SCAM alert. Our business got a call from a different number posing as APS saying our electric would be turned off in 45 minutes if we did not call this number and make a payment. We called and the person on this line said to go to a local Walgreens or CVS to make a cash card payment or else we would lose power in 45 minutes. Hanging up the phone we called APS and confirmed that in fact our balance was $0 and this was a SCAM. After talking to some of our neighbors we realized at least one fell for the scam and lost several hundred dollars. DO NOT TALK to these people (original call was from  602-371-7171, we've also reported that number.) DO NOT ANSWER.

Scam scam scam! Like others... They claim to be the electric company and tell you that your electricity will be disconnected if you don't pay immediately. They request a Moneypak and do not accept any other form of payment.

Such a scam! I have to give it to these guys, they have really invested a ton of time trying to make it seem really legit. If you read this before you get scammed, mess with them a bit. Everyone I spoke with had a little temper so it was enjoyable to really get them.

In all seriousness, do not mess with these guys.

They  call me with the same story ,  your schedule to be disconnected in 45 min.
Call this #844-331-3291 and HI  your talking to the supervisor
You need to pay us in 45 min or be disconnected , take two days to reconnect  .
I call the local office and my account was in good standing
They are very good at this and they will change the caller ID to your local utilities phone Number so you can not tell is real or not .
Beware !!

Joel from 844-331-3291 claimed he was from Westar Energy. They have sent 2 legal notices to which we have not responded to. We have 2-3 days to respond or they will shut our power down. OR we can go to a variety of locations to purchase cash cards to pay our outstanding bills........ yeah right!

Same exact thing with our business, just today.  With TECO, caller ID and everything.
