I returned the call to hear "This call may be recorded. This is Eric, how may I help you?"  I hung up and called back to hear, "This call may be recorded. This is Kevin, how may I help you?"  I called a third time and was  told the same thing by yet another person.  I asked what was the company, and he said "Microsoft".  He said they had no record of calling my number even though my phone says they called twice. When I said that they had called twice he hung up on me.

I received a very similar call from the same number, however, I couldn't get to the first call, thus my voice mail answered.  The message was along the line of "Please call 844.331.3340 due to a refund Microsoft owes you".  I dialed back, knowing the no ISP, PC manufacturer or related entities would not call me without first my initiating an inquiry with them or, based upon my call, established another time in which whatever needed resolving could be done so.  I dialed the number back for it to be answered by a younger sounding man with a heavy accent sounding of India or Pakistani/Afghani descent.  At any rate, he explained MS was removing 10.0 OS from all PC's and issuing a refund and implementing a new OS.  He asked for access to my PC in which I immediately denied him.  I indicated I worked in the news industry and part of my beat is that of technology, especially in education and employment and its impact on US economy and that I had never come across any AP, Reuters or network story even in the category of issuing cash refunds from Microsoft (imagine the stock price of MS dropping like a rock if this were true).  Upon more inquiries on my end, he shouted me quiet and said "No one if f___ing making you take money", and "I'm not here to argue with you", I asked politely for my information be removed from their database and he called me a "q___r" and "f__got" and hung up.

Someone called from this number and left a message that they were with the Cyber Division of who I didn't get and that I should call this number because someone was using my email account to get personal information on people. I blocked the number because I know that this is a scam. I was warned by my bank that this was happening.

Got a call and voicemail. Really short message, “if you are not doing so call us back to resolve this issue or we’ll be forced to take legal action against you.” I called back. A guy answers and says his name, Kevin, and the call would be recorded. He asks what he can help me with and I wanted to know why they left the weird voicemail. It was freaky that he knew my name and where I lived but when regarding my email being used for “abuse” he couldn’t give that information. When I asked what company he belonged to he said Google. He just wanted me to change my password, and call him back. I googled the number and found this website lol so thanks for that. But I’m still weirded out.
