They gave me a call on alarm system I had...pinnacale or somebody.... I refinance my house.. it was on my credit report..

This "company" called from a spoofed number at the Peoria County (IL) Sheriff's Dept stating that they had papers to serve me regarding a debt from somewhere called Pinnacle about alarm system equipment that I did not return.  They were very deceptive in their language and I will be reporting them.

They called claiming they were Davis Co Sheriffs Office processing for Pinnacle. They told me to contact pinnacle immediately to avoid going to court or having my checks garnished.  When I called the number back they said they don't have a processor with this name.  I believe it's Pinnacle and an unethical way to get claims resolved.

The Sheriff's office would simply serve the papers if there were any, something you can easily find by calling the local courthouse and asking if you are listed as the Defendant in any civil proceedings.  I would suggest that you call the real Sheriff's Office and let them know that someone is impersonating them.  If we had more to the name than just "Pinnacle" it would be helpful.
