They called from a local number (208) 616-1233, which caller ID can only point to Idaho and no specific city, and left a message with this number (844) 369-8902 as the return. I know this to be bull because real companies just sue you, they don't call you first. I'm sure if I had answered, they would have threatened to have me arrested if I didn't give them money immediately. Please if you have found your way here and have not experienced this before, never give out your personal information to these people and especially do not give them your bank account numbers or send them money orders or anything.

You may legitimately have debts, but these kind of debt collectors are essentially scammers, connected to the same sort of scammers that offer online payday loans and then take way more than they give (or are legally allowed to). Ignore the call, and if you do answer, do not tell them anything and ask them only for their business information, like their address, or what state they operate in and what their business ID registration number is for that state. When they get angry and threaten you, that is when you know they are operating illegally. You can inform them you'll be filing a complaint against them (which likely won't do much) but maybe they'll stop calling for a while, until the pass off this "debt" to some other shady company.
