This call originally came through as an Unknown Caller. Basically stating that they plan to serve me papers on Friday and my place of employment. If they aren't able to serve me papers then it will be sent back to the county and they will deal with me. I'm supposed to call this number and ask for a Miss Bailey. No company name left.

Same thing. Received an unknown call to call this number and said he was informing me of a supposed debt (that i no longer have) and even called my brother's phone looking for me. Got smart when i told him i didnt know who he was and to stop calling. He said fine he will put in a warrant for a pick up. I told him fine go ahead i have no debt. His name was chief investigator benson. The original unknown call had called 5 or 6 times in within 15 minutes.

So they've upped the ante... Received a phone call from a local number that happened to be the County Sheriff's office. So I assumed that it was legitimate. I called the Sheriff's office and was told: 1. they don't have an officer Jackson. 2. There is no record of anything for me. 3. to file a report with my local police station.

They had no idea how they could basically ghost their number.

Spoofing is done with an illegal computer program (which tells you a lot about the caller)!!

He won`t  even give you the district court he works for he is a POS

If you call that number an arrogant gentleman says "Courts Program".  Clear scam.  Sounded to me like a real thug.  No idea where they are located.   Clearly impersonating a governmental or court agency.   Report any of these calls to your local law enforcement.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

Note that the US Supreme Court in the Case of HENSON ET AL. v. SANTANDER CONSUMER USA INC., has recently ruled that the provisions of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act do not apply if the creditor owns the debt in question.  As a practical matter this probably won't effect the kinds of scam debt collectors who often show up on 800notes.  The scam collectors don't give you any information about themselves so it is impossible to know whether or not they in fact "own" the debt in question.  Most do not send debt validation letters and many often say they are collecting for someone else.  So, make the complaint anyway if they are bothering you.  Let the FTC sort it out.

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.

I recieved a call from this #,they are using spoof #s to get through ,total scammers trying to collect on really old debt that was paid ,i spoke to a really nasty black man cussing &swearing saying he will put me in jail over a pay day loan from 2011. I did research on this # it belongs to a collection agcy going by global mediation in Depew Ny ,the address they are spoofing from is 3125 walden ave Depew Ny ,i called the Attorney General in Buffalo NY their #is 716-853-8400 ,call the Ag ,or cfpb,the more complaints they have ,the sooner they will be shut down!

Office Benson call said I was going to jail if I didn't make payment on cash net lone and the less amount is 225.00 really

Well "Dede", "Office Benson" is a low-life, belly-crawling fraud. I think you're perfectly aware of that. Tell the clown to go piss up a rope!
