In the last 15 days, I have received calls from 2871, 2873 and 2874 for a total of eleven times.   A total of " 800 number calls"  that have not left a message or had a caller ID in the last 15 days is  25.   I'm on the "DO NOT CALL LIST" but does not matter to them.

Since 15 May I have received 7 calls from 844-381-2871, one and a half to 3 rings and they hang up.  The 844-381 also use
2873, 2874 and now a 2563 number.  This a total of 15 calls in 18 days and no messages.

These people claim to be part of the SIoux tribe. They ask for my deceased mother who never lived with me or even in this state. They call multiple times a day and week. I have demanded they remove my #. IT is painful to be reminded of my mother's death. They won't stop. I reported them to the FCC.

    >> calls every day many times   <<

How many times will you allow them to call before you obtain a call blocker?  Google (or your favorite search engine) is your friend.

Here is a link to a list of government sites where you can report phone scams, telephone crime, etc.

    >> please stop the calls  <<

    Please realize that:

» Your post here will NOT stop the calls.  We did not call you.  Your caller probably does not read these messages.  We cannot block calls to you.  We cannot put you on or take you off the list.  We do not know who you are, and we do not know your phone number!

The National Do Not Call list is respected by legitimate telemarketers, but is ignored by criminal telescammers.

Surveys, charities, political calls, NON-sales calls and certain preexisting business calls are exempt from the DNCL.

Business phones do not qualify for DNCL protection.

Find out who is calling and why: Debt collectors, telemarketers, charities, and survey companies often call without leaving a message. Lookup the number to read the previous reports of other users.

Report telemarketing calls: Make the Do Not Call list offenders notice the problem by reporting their practices. No business wants bad publicity.

Report phone fraud: Did someone try to scam you? Reporting the number is the fastest way to make public aware, and prevent others from falling victim to the scam.

Check out a business: Read other users' feedback about the phone number owner.

»YOU are your own best defense against unwanted calls! You can use a call blocking app, device, service or procedure to block such calls.

Here are some tried and true methods for reducing or eliminating repeated spam / scam phone calls:

    1.  Do not answer the phone if you see an unknown number on your Caller ID ... let it go to answering machine or voicemail.  Many telescammers hang up after three or four rings.

    2.  If you have a smartphone, get one of the inexpensive or free call blocker apps at your online app store, and learn how to use it.

    3.  If your cell is not "smart", read the manual to learn how to set up a "group".  Assign the scammer's phone number to that group.  Also assign a "silent ring" to that group.  You will not hear future calls from that number.

3a.  Alternately, assign a "silent ringtone" as the DEFAULT ringtone.  Then, assign your favorite ringtones to friends, family, contacts, businesses, etc.  That way, you will not hear your phone ring, even if the scammer changes numbers!   (This is also called "whitelisting", and will cause you to miss calls from non-whitelisted numbers, so be careful!)

    4.  For cell phones or landlines: Contact your phone service provider.  They may have a facility or method to allow you to block numbers.

    5.  For landlines: there are several call blocking devices and services available.  Use your favorite search engine to find one.

    6.  DO NOT call unknown numbers back without checking who called (800notes is your friend)! All that does is verify your number is "live".  Instead, read this:

I receive no less than 5 calls per day from this number.  A couple of times the women calling actually called my name..  It's scary and I would consider this some type of harrasment.  The number identifies itself (sometimes) as Woman Cancer.  What can be done to stop them?

Slim provides plenty of info on what to do, however, if you'd rather NOT spend, let your phone ring clear through with unknown numbers if possible. I found breast cancer solicitors and hero charities the most difficult to get rid of, but I was able to. If you can prevent them from getting any answer at all, it might work in your favor. I think I had a call everyday during the week for over a month from breast cancer showing up on my ID, but they NEVER got an answer of any kind.
