- KrisReceived a call from this number. Caller on voice mail did not identify himself or his company, but immediately said I was being served and I needed to call immediately or they would show up at my home or place of employment. I returned the call to find out what was going on and was told they didn't leave the voice mail, they used an "outbound third party." They stated they did not know the name of the company they used. Were very rude, threatening, and demanded I pay off an alleged debt or I would be sued. I attempted to Google the company but cannot find any record of them.

- NikkiReceived a call from unknown number but they left a voicemail asking me to call back this number. She said her name was Sherry Gray and that she was a compliance officer and that they were going to file a lawsuit. She didn’t even tell me what company she worked for and the matter number she gave ain’t real. This is clearly a scam because i work at a law firm and that is not how the legal process works
- ShawnI received a call from a local number, the person did not identify themselves and left a message stating they were filing a lawsuit unless I returned the call to 844-384-3340. These people also called my ex-spouse and another family member to get information from them. I was unable to find out any information on Google - this appears to be a scam.

- DavidThese people are scammers, do not give them a dime! they will threaten you with court cases, but do not pay attention. their fake!!!! they want you debit/credit card information to process payment to resolve the case. they will tell you they cant provide confirmation e-mails and everything is through the mail.BS!!

- Call type: Debt collector
- PattyThis is a total scam a process server calls to schedule time to bring you papers, then tells you to call their office to resolve it before they come out or you will be sued for breach of contract, check fraud and several other charges. When you ask them for debt validation they tell you they do not need to provide as they are a "pre-litigation firm" and that it is to far into the process at that point and they don't have to follow the debt collection rules. Typically this is for a past due or written off "pay-day loan".
If anyone gets calls from a debt /pre-litigation firm they should remember that there are consumer protections for them. It doesn't matter if they call themselves a debt collector, pre-litigation firm or anything else, if they are attempting to collect a third-party debt they fall under the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) and under your states laws. They are required to provide you upon initial contact (within 5 business days) a validation of your debt, which includes the company name, phone number and address as well as your rights under FDCPA. Any reputable collector (oxymoron I know) will gladly follow this process. In addition they cannot use abusive tactics or threaten you with jail time, or criminal pursuits. You can look up the act for more information. In addition thinking it through - what process server would tell you when they will be there? Everyone who owes money would be sure not to be home during that time!- Caller: Westwood
