Called re: a claim filed against Charmela Richardson. I called back and they said this person had me down as point of contact. I’ve never heard of this person and they had my full name. Wonder if this is a scam?

Yes it is. They keep calling me and leaving voicemail for the previous owner of the number. I called back just now, someone answered but didn't talk at all. I left it for about 10 secs. It's always the final attempt to call hut they call several times for the past few weeks.

Got a voicemail addressed to my brother (using his full name) asking him in a vaguely threatening manner to call this 844 number in reference to some unspecified "time sensitive" matter (red flag #1). Caller did not identify herself, or say on whose behalf she was calling (red flag #2)  However, the call itself came from an area code in my state, so they appear to be spoofing to make the call appear local (red flag #3).  Red flag #4 is the instruction to call an 844 number, a toll-free prefix frequently used by scammers.  Blocked them and did not forward their message to my brother since this is obviously a scam.

Called from a number in my area code with a message for my brother saying something was about to be altered to his name and social security number.

Called from a local area code.  A recording stated they were looking for my ex-husband, who has been dead for over 2 years, saying there was a change in his status and social security number.  Did not give a name or company name.  Gave an 844 area code number for call back.  Did not call.  Blocked the number.

called me from local number stating I had claim against my social security number.  I connected and asked what this is about, she said you contacted me and I told her I most certainly did not, you called me.  She was extremely rude and said my ignorance and arrogance will not be tolerated and I told her that her company needs to be put out of business and I will act any way I want as I am on do not call list and she is nothing but a scammer

“This message is intended for ___ ___ a status change has been reported under your name and Social Security number in our office if you would like to add a statement and go over your available options before any reporting or permanent change please contact us at 844-389-1787 this is a time sensitive matter that _⁠_ choirs your attention if you are this person press one to be connected to our office…”

Call type: Scam suspicion

Called claimed that they received my file today yet the call came through 3 days ago. Claims they were trying to reach my daughter about a purchase and wanted to get her reply before they submit to the city/ parish for garnishment. Call came from 1-985-500-3955 but told me to call 1844-389-1787

This DC seems to be busy lately.  Well known criminal outfit around here.  Unless your daughter works for the city/parish they will not get involved in collecting a debt.  The fact that they gave you that information shows their willingness to break the law.

Called from a local area code, but gave me the 844 number to call back. Said the message was intended for my mother, not me, and said some vague debt collecting stuff that didn't really go together. As if they had an AI read over 1,000 debt collecting scripts and then make its own. Clearly a scam. I would not recommend calling back.

Talked about a claim that I had sent refusal. Never named the company

Caller said to call this number on a time sensitive case.

This caller claimed that I had an outstanding loan out and I know that I don’t. Called back (after I hung up on him) and said some very nasty things.
