- Old DogCaller stated that he needed to access my computer to correct a problem. NEVER let any outside caller to do that! It's a scam! They will embed a deep Virus program ,and Registry errors, then claim they found it/them, and say they will remove it if you sign up and pay them! If you don't you'll get the "Blue Screen of Death" on your Computer and it won't function! Total SCAM! I know - I fell for it once many years ago - lost $120.00 to them!

- They got usGeeks Corp IT, not to be confused with Geek Squad or Geeks World (with whom we have had a security contract on our PC for two years). Caller said they tried to update the security on our computer but they couldn't and we needed to supply info. RED FLAG, but my husband thought he recognized the company name, WRONG. After three hours and two credit cards used, I was exhausted trying to listen to everything they said. Next night, we get a call from the real Geeks World saying we and many others had been scammed...another three hours! Cancelled credit cards and changed user IDs and passwords on significant accounts ARRGGH. Supposedly based in Pennsylvania but there is no record of them. Geeks World, our legitimate company said they were going to sue Geeks Corp, but I don't know how!

- MeganI told them I was unavailable, and that I would call back. They gave me the number: 844-390-0722 ext. 1006 for a man named Harry to call. Originally stated that I had purchased "support" with them in July 2016 for two years. When I told him if that was the case, then it had been over two years... he said that I purchased "technical" support for three years. He was asking about me changing my router, which just so happens I returned it to Spectrum yesterday. Not sure if there is any connection there...?

- JTBamboozled my 80-year-old mother with repeated calls stating that someone hacked into her computer. Of course she panicked and, alas, $1,300.00 charged to credit card to "fix" the problem. After complaining about fee, rep stated "but I would lose my commission". Offered a $200 printer in lieu of refund, then offered partial refund. Filing FTC complaint today. Company stated that scam references relating to their phone number are "fake". Imagine that...
