I got a call too and they told me Midland Recovery and they were a collection agency. I have NOTHING in collections or even about to go to collections so I think they are scammers. None of them speak English well.

They use call centers located overseas.

This number called from a local number, left a voicemail saying to "Call the number back on caller ID" and then called AGAIN and on the recorded message when I answered - they said MRS but the number they gave on the recording was NOT MRS phone number and the number they called from was local again. I think SCAM. Any recovery company would send your bill by mail.

Since the law does not require them to do that until after first contact then no they wouldn't.

They call under all kinds of numbers, half the time they call for me, and half for my husband, sometimes cell, sometimes work. We do not have anything outstanding. It is really annoying

The call is from a local phone number, but is a recording to say to call the 844-410-1747 number.
