Purported to be from Amazon saying a charge was made on my Amazon card of $1000 and change.

Said it Amazon fraud . Just said a large purchase was placed on my Amazon account, just checking to see if I made this purchase. I don't have a Amazon account.  Something should be done about these people trying to steal money.

Says I am being billed

I was left message on voicemail that a $1295.99 charge was made on card have on file with Amazon. "If this was you do not call back. If not call this number and let fraud prevention know so they can take care of the issue."

Pretty sure this is a scam. They left a msg on my husband's phone saying something about a charge on the "Amazon card on file" and if we didn't make it to call that number. But my number is the one Amazon has for contact so they would call me, not him.

Amazon wouldn't call you at all regardless of what phone number they have on file.

I got a call today and was sure it was Fraud.

Same info reported by others:  Computer-generated/modulated voice reports Amazon charged $1,200+ to my card; if I didn’t authorize, then call this number or press 3 to speak with an Amazon representative.
