Report them. You have to take up arms against these people. Report them.
Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a dime until the debt is validated
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.
If they are bothering you, report them:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.) The same goes for endless telephone harassment
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because, being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking), the only thing they understand. - pkvYes, I received the call as well. I'm not calling back as I believe it is a scam.

- Tracy replies to dee| 1 replyI just got the same call 4 days ago and nothing yet. Same person Anthony Stone and he left the number as 844-434-1141. I didn't get any notices, letters, or anything. I don't have or owe any debt so I know they are full of it.
- BigA replies to TracyThis is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt. One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying. They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number. Please note that process servers do not ever call ahead. That way you can’t dodge them.

- AnnoyedGot a call from sister, my father, saying someone is leaving messages on their phone about delivery a summons in 24-48 hrs at home or place of employment. Now this morning I received a similar call. It's stating the same thing as other people have said in some of the other postings. No one showed up at my sisters or fathers place. They don't leave a name, for who it's intended for. Feels like its a scam to try to scare you into calling back but they don't have follow thru.

- DaveI got a call from this number with the same words "this is Anthony Stone I have legal papers to serve...,etc. I looked up and it is a scam. In another post in the internet he was confronted. here is the copy:

I just received a call from this number stating his name was Mark Johnson. I called the number and the scumbag (female) on the other end says "Hallo". I said, "You called this number?" She says, "I don't think so". I said, "A man named Mark Johnson called this number and said it was of a legal matter." Her reply, "Hod Oan". Then a man, completely different name, now his name is Anthony Stone. He stated that I wrote a bad personal check from a Colonial Bank. First off I said I haven't wrote checks in years. His reply, "It was from some time ago". I asked if he had the check number and date of purchase and he replied, "I don't have that information all I do is serve you with the papers. We will have a representative come out to your work on Monday to serve the papers and ask for payment. If you do not pay you will be arrested." In case you are wondering, I am a Sheriff's Detective and caught on really quick since I know that you cannot be arrested for not paying your bills. You can however be arrested for writing bad checks, but I have never heard of this bank. Then he proceeded to tell me that I took out a cash advance from National Cash Advance. I have never heard of this place nor EVER needed to get a cash advance loan. He started rambling on then I asked him where he thought I worked. He said I worked for an IT company in Buffalo, NY. He didn't know the name of the business I worked for nor did he have an address. I wanted to make sure he was delivering the "papers" to the right address. (Sarcasm). I then asked him what police agency will be assisting in delivery of the "papers". He said they weren't obligated to tell me that. That is when I broke character. I proceeded to tell him that I know the information he gave me is incorrect and that the reason I know that is that I am a county sheriffs detective and if it were a "legal' document, then a uniformed sheriff's detective will "serve" you the document and you then have to sign for it. No company can legally ask you for payment on the spot or you will be arrested. No representative can arrest you. He then got quiet and said, "[***] tha Police" and hung up on me.
