I had a voicemail from this number - left it in a stern manner telling me to return the call without mentioning what it was about OR saying Thank You at the end.  Clearly a ploy to scare you into finding out the urpose

Caller from 844-438-2249 left a voice message for the company controller.  Said she has a question for him/her and to call back this number for extension #302.
Talked really fast at the beginning of the voice message and said it was linda from ustrp (??).

No intention of calling back!

I had a voicemail from 844-438-2249 stating they needed me to call them back before they headed back out to our street. Said they were from the US Tax Recovery Unit and I needed to call back to extension 323.

I have no plans to call back.

On 6/15/15 we received a call from Linda at USTRP that said she wanted to call us back before they head out to us on 6/22/15.  I have no idea what she is talking about!  She was at Ext 326.

Michelle called and asked me to call her back at Ext 331 regarding unpaid invoices

I got the same thing, US recovery, before they head out, they want to talk to me... call them back at extension 316.. Think I'm going to have some fun with these twerps... Play their game, then tell them they are dealing with a government agency.

Caller left voice mail saying her name was Vicky Duvall and I should return her call at 844-438-2249 x204 that this is a business matter.  She sounded stern like she was trying to intimidate me.

Yep.  Got a call from Tyler 844-438-2249.  Talked really fast.  Wanted me to call back at X313.  Something about US Tax Department?  Would like to call back just to see what the scam is but don't have time to play games now.

Got a call from Erika at x 303. I believe they are an expense recovery firm, look through your payables to find where you could be overpaying sales tax etc.

Rec'd a call from 844-438-2249 ext 304  Ken Santos  stated he was from the State and Local Tax Group and they will help recover money we are paying out on utilities and AP invoices.  He said we can meet it only takes 10 mins of your time- don't you want to save money.  The calendar is filling up so I will put you down for 1:00pm- I told him I do not want to meet and I always try to save money.  Very pushy.  Never called back

Just got a call from the same number, and said his name was Tyler.  Also talked really fast....said he was with ???? tax group and they were 'coming out to see us tomorrow'.  Don't fall for it people.....

I received a call from Tyler at USTRP that said he wanted to call us back before they head out to us on 9/23/15.  I have no idea what he is talking about!  He was at Ext 303.

Was clearly an uninformed fishing expedition from a cold-call list to get to my Controller. They "happened to have someone in my area" next week and wanted to have someone drop by for 5 to 10 minutes and educate me on how to recover the tax money I should be getting back from the state. Does anyone ever fall for this type of cheesy marketing?

Got a call at our business Melissa at US TRP ext. 302  - regarding over payments & credits from the state. Probably a tax recovery or utility analysis company - hate cold callers who make them out to sound official. Don't fall for it people, not worth your time and frustration.

I received a very friendly message from Melanie who wanted to ask a few questions before they "headed out next week".  The call back number was 844-438-2249 x316.  Of course, we have no one expected to visit next week, so this was certainly an attempt to get in the door thru an unsavory means.
