New number from CRA threatening to take me to jail. And they're filing a lawsuit too! Apparently they want me to pay the money I don't owe them. SCAM FRAUD don't give them any information. Only call back if you want to give them a headache and waste a bunch of their time. Not sure but calling back may cost a bunch of money too. In any case don't worry about these scumbags it's not Canada Revenue or the Police. 844-447-4490 SCAMMERS

Do not call them back. *67 does not work on toll free numbers like 844. By calling back you will verify yours is a working number and you will get more calls.

Got the same threatening message from male
(no name, not addressed to a specific person in particular except 'you',  no valid reason or file number, no options like places to meet nor languages to select, etc)

Definitely un-Canadian, and a false call

Got a phone call from this number. It was a recorded message by a male regarding a tax related law and i needed to call back this number asap.

I received a few calls fro. 844-447-4450 that they are call from CRA and wanting to jail me. I called them back and told them to [***] as I knew this is a scam. They hung up after a slurry of foul language. SCAMMER. Do not respond with any personal details.

3rd call I've had from the "CRA".  All have been different numbers but the same threatening recording.    Wish there was some way these [***] could be stopped, far too many Canadians are falling prey to these pricks.

Caller stated he was from CRA and that I was the subject of a Lawsuit. If I did not call back he would be issuing an Arrest Warrant for my incarceration. What he doesn't know is that I was  a Police Officer for 27 years and I would welcome the initiation of an arrest warrant .

Received a message on my answering machine; recording saying that they are CRA, a lawsuit has been filed against me, and a warrant will be issued for my arrest.

I just recived  a call from this number 1 844-447-4450 and stating it was CRA and that I am going to jail    I have not once had a problem with the CRA   so of course  it's a scam

They just hit our house too, I let it go to voicemail. It was same thing in an American sounding voice yammering on about the CRA and the "arrest warrant" if we "don't call them back". If it wasn't working, they wouldn't be continuing with this garbage and try something else. It's sad to see that some have probably fallen for it.

CRA calling to tell me to call back as they were issuing an arrest warrant. I called CRA to tell them . They were aware but didn't know about this phone number.
