Non stop phone calls the last week. Doesn't leave a message.

I answered the call... Jerrold claiming to be from Independence Blue Cross... Something seemed just not quite right.  I said I was busy and would call back ... I called IBX and this number is not associated with them ... Jerrold started to confirm my date of birth ... I'm wondering how many others have not had their lizard brain kick in and given out personal information ? ... Aug 31 2016 3pm est

You are right!  I too called them back because I have blue cross.  They get lists from ibx.  It is a marketing tool to get you to give more info on your healthcare status.  They get paid if they are successful.  It's none of their business.  If I have a need or question I'll call ibx directly myself.  Asked them to take me off call list.  Wanted my name.  Told them just take my number.  Said there was no spot for number only my name as listed with ibx.  Told her never mind and hung up.  I am very wary of callers.  Don't be fooled into giving out any info!!!

no reason to answer or call back - no matter what they say. if it truly is ibx, they'll follow up with a mailing or email, right?
