This number came on a letter suggesting I had changed my life insurance address through AIG. I googled their contact info and called them. This is not their number. This is a scam.

I just got the same letter and, when I called, I was put on hold and no one answered, so I hung up.

Thank you - just happened to me.

Received a letter from AIG saying my insurance lapsed- it had correct policy number and looked legitimate.   I called the customer service number and they stated that there was a problem with AIG customer service and they were sending out $100 gift cards and asked for my credit card number.

I also received the same letter and when I called it stated the same about a $100 gift card and ask for my credit card information and I politely hung up

I called this number and I was asked for my name, birth date and the  last four numbers of my social security. I gave it to them and was disconnected.  Had my correct policy number. I was told to go online with service.

Seems a few people are unhappy with the service and posting vendetta posts against the company.
