Called stating they have my name & ssn. They are handling a case against me ashley was the name given for the caller.

His name was Josh and he stated that I was going to have a criminal case against me if I did not make a settlement agreement with them and I have to give them my debt Card info or I will have a judgment filed with my county is this a scam please help!

State they have a file against me and criminal charges will be placed if i dont settle the debit

Harassment; name he says is Jason Scott. Wants me to pay up or he will get my family & employers involved

Total scam.  Being in ordinary civil debt is not a crime and you can NOT be arrested for it.  Ignore and block the call.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.

had the same phone number call me today, saying the same things, ughhhhhhhhhh will these ppl ever stop.....

some guy left me a message saying he was calling regarding his client the state and i was under investigation for check fraud and bank fraud?  i called and spoke with a john strose?  he said he wanted me to repay a pay day loan i took out with cash central.  i guess the state is pursuing me?  i had a check fraud case filed by the state and the county was pursuing me criminally.  i got him all recorded so im calling my attorney general and filing a law suit.  you cant tell someone the state is filing something.  i called around, theres nothing filed against me anywhere, plus the guy told me he was gonna garnish my check and pursue me criminally.  you cant even garnish me in texas.  friggen morons i tell ya

A rep named ms.Long from the office where eden goodmen is the supervisor hung up on me in my face bc she thinks my debit  card is stolen. I was trying to explain to her that my card had fraud activity and she kept talking over me and yelling.... I asked for a manager and she said i have someone you can speak to, the dial tone.... And hung up on me!! I called back and spoke to her supervisor eden goodmen who was also very disrespectful and unprofessional ..... He did not address if he was going to discipline his employee, he did not care that his rep was rude , disrepectful,  and hung up on me... I am not confident that he will do his job and write up ms.Long or send a complaint to corporate. I will make sure i get in contact with corporate
