- Christie Piersol| 14 repliesI have not only received calls, I have also received bills from these people. I contacted my insurance company and they said that they paid all claims on that date. I contacted VaxCare after receiving two more bills on the same day and told them what my insurance company said. The woman tried to get my personal info. I refused to give it.

- BigA replies to Christie Piersol| 13 repliesLet me understand this. You called them up? Then when the person on the other end tried to help you but needed you to verify who you were because of HIPPA requirements you refused? Yet you are still complaining that they keep calling and sending bills? Ok, I can see what the problem is.
- AshleyAsking me to pay a bill I don’t have. I received my vaccine free from the state’s health department. They are trying to phish for confidential information. Do not give it to them.

- BigA replies to Ashley| 11 repliesSo far I haven't seen anything in this thread that would scream the word "scam" to me. It seems to be a valid company, registered in Florida and has no complaints or reviews at the BBB. The first two posts in this thread were made by the same person several months apart. "Christie" did not specify what "personal info" they asked for, which is a bit surprising. Then we have you. Pretty vague
So, you never got the bill? You had the bill but lost it? What does that mean?Quote:Asking me to pay a bill I don’t have.
What vaccine? Are they talking about the same vaccine that you claim you got free?Quote:I received my vaccine free from the state’s health department.
Again, what information? Name and date of birth? SS#? What? Considering that the first two posts were made by the same person I have to wonder if this is some sort of business vendetta.Quote:They are trying to phish for confidential information. - MikeHuntleton replies to BigA| 3 repliesMore than likely these people don't read or at least try to find out anything, instead they just complain when they are clueless. Took a whole 5 seconds to find this in the search engine results:
http://help.vaxcare.com/en/articles/457420-my-patient-received-a-bill - BigA replies to MikeHuntleton| 2 repliesI did a cursory exam of the company. That page does explain it all. I'm almost wondering if these posts are by "anti vaxxers"? I fear that we will never know because I am certain that neither Christie or Ashley will stop back to explain their posts.
- Smj replies to BigAI have received two voice messages from Vaxcare saying I too owe for my COVID vaccine and if I don’t take care of it by calling their # or staying on the line, I will be responsible for “the whole amount”. It was free! SCAM!
- GuyI called my insurance company and asked if they covered the cost of the vaccines that I got months ago. They said yes. They did not say the claim was denied, as the phone message says it was. I told them about the phone message and asked if they knew who VaxCare was. They told me to ignore the call as a scam. They said that if they were to have a problem with a claim they would send a letter first, not a phone message. So right now I suspect a scam. If VaxCare continues to contact me, I will call my insurance company again and make sure I am getting correct information from them. If someone from my insurance company says yes to calling VaxCare because a vaccine claim, made by them on my behalf, was denied by my insurance company, I will call. I have a feeling it will not go that way.

- GuyOkay, these people are really not very good at communicating at all. The phone messages I got said they partnered with my health care provider. To me, “health care provider” means insurance company. They did not mention my insurance company by name, they just say “health care provider”. My insurance company did not show any denied claims. Then I get a letter where again they mention partnering with my health care provider, only this time they mention the name of my doctor’s office. To me, my doctor is a “primary care physician” not a “health care provider”. I call my doctor’s office just to ask if VaxCare is real or some kind of scam. They say it’s real. So, as promised, I called. Turns out they tried to send a claim to medicare and did not know of my advantage plan, which they should have, because it had been in effect for three months at the time of the vaccine. The vaccine that they did not want to mention in the phone message or letter for privacy reasons. It might have been the fault of my doctor giving them old information. Although, when I mentioned that I had an advantage plan, the person knew who it was without me telling them. So maybe my doctor’s office gave them both pre-medicare health provider information as well as current info. Either way, their messages, and even their letter was very vague, unclear and suspicious. They partner with BOTH my “primary care physician” AND my “health care provider” but don’t make that clear and never show that they know who those two are, and by not mentioning what exact vaccine is in question, suspicions are raised even more. They could have mentioned, as they did in the letter, the DATE of the vaccine in question so I might know what they are talking about, without them mentioning my personal health information. But they didn’t. They just leave a vague message demanding that I call to give them information. Very suspicious, especially at my age, where I have become a target for scammers who assume that old people are stupid, easy targets.

- K.I received several calls from Vax Care claiming I owe them money for a vaccine. Not sure what vaccine they are even talking about. I have not gotten any EOB or anything from my insurance company. This is not how any medical bills have been handled. Scam

- Drc71 replies to BigA| 1 replyNo vaccine is free. The patient may not have to pay for it if it’s a covered benefit but the insurance is still billed. If the health dept, pharmacy or doctors office gets a denial, the patient will most definitely get a letter or call to verify their insurance info. Vax Care is a company that many offices use to administer their vaccines. That company provides the vax, but the office administers it. That company bills the insurance, not the doctors office.
- BigA replies to Drc71You looked up my screen name to tell me what I already know and pretty much wrote about in my previous posts a year ago?
- KimReceived a voice-mail from vaxcare about a invoice that is not paid. Mind you they did not give invoice #, secondly I have not been to the doctor to get any vaccines since last July 2020. There was no name given, invoice number given, and when I try took in to see what invoice it says I don't have an account. So how do I have an unpaid invoice with no invoice number and no active account? Will see if I ever receive anything in the mail. With it being over a year since my last doctora visit I should of had a explanation of benefits already sent to me. The phone number given to call does not recognize my phone number but they sure called and left a voice mail.
