Demanding money on a old dept for Tmobil and i paid $50 they threatened to garnish wages and go to court

There is a whole lot of info missing from that "story", leaving it to speculations of what actually transpired.

Received a phone call from a Chris about a credit card bill

Left Voicemail. Said to avoid any legal action call 844-475-2103 but called me from another number=833-781-5221.  Robocalls..Do not call back. If you do the computer system will bombard you with more calls.

Received call from Jason about hospital bill from 5 years ago that don't ever remember getting. He was wanting to prevent legal action.

Called about 4 times from 8337815909 (all at the same time), threatening legal action on the message left.

Keep calling leaving messages on Mom's home phone; she has been in a nursing home for last few years. They need to stop calling as we don't what they are referencing. Thanks!

Caller ID showed call coming from Async different number showed up then was left. Pre-recorded message stating to call so I can confirm delivery of legal documents to avoid further legal action. Did not state who they were calling for or what this was in regards to.

This is the second call I received as such. No new debts or outstanding balances that I'm aware of. All debts are over 7 yrs old, needless to say I will not be calling back.

Called about an old Sprint bill that I never had.  Somehow new my soc# and address. Lady hung up on me about 4 time

Also recieved a call from a brittany in regards to hospital bill I paid last year, said there was a $175 balance.

Have received 2 phone calls from the 844-475-2103 regarding something about legal action will be taken and for me to call back but if hearing this message to please press 1.   The number showing on my phone is 1-833-781-5909.  VERY SUSPICOUS - ALSO NAME SHOWING IS:    async

Received calls from Jessica all last week and again today, they do not give up! This credit card is 5 years old and not on my credit!

Carrier Services and Process Servers do not know what is contained in the documents they are paid to serve/deliver. Anyone explaining what they are delivering, saying "you have officially been notified"  or offering an alternative "solution" to avoid delivery is a scammer.

The vague scare tactic message is designed to panic a victim into calling back.

Most debt collectors will use a certain amount of pressure to convince you to pay the debt. After all, they often don't get paid unless you pay. Be suspicious of a debt collector who uses an unusual amount of pressure to get you to pay immediately, particularly if they also use scare tactics to get you to pay right away. For example, a debt collector is scamming you if it :

• threatens you with a lawsuit and tells that you can avoid the lawsuit by paying right away
• Says a Process Server  or Courier is coming with papers to sign
• Threatens to call / go to your place of employment
• Insists you have been notified, served or are non-compliant via phone message(s)
• Refuses to give a company name or verifiable Contact source
• Refuses to send proof of debt via US mail

A sure sign of a debt collection scam is a collector that wants to you to pay via wire transfer or another method that can't be traced. If the payment method can't be traced, you'll have a harder time getting the authorities involved.

If the creditor sounds completely foreign, or you know you never had an account with that business, there's a chance it's a scam. Never pay a collection you don't recognize. You have the right to request written proof of the debt from the debt collector before you send payment.

Appears to be a scam phone number, calling businesses and private citizens.

Left a number for me to call back and said that they had court documents and wanted to serve me. They asked my name, and wanted my address. I then called him and he said my name and my social security number. I have no idea how he got my information.

Someone claiming to serve legal papers. Someone else said it may be a debt collector, and I doubt this because all my bills are current, and I have not received any collection notices by mail. There is a high chance that this is a scammer, however, what type of scam using legal documents, not really sure, maybe they are trying to garnish enough information in order to access your financial information. If they really had legal documents to serve, then it would be their responsibility to serve them, otherwise, any court would consider them not legally served.

This happened to me too so I called my state’s attorney and gave him the info. They new my ss number too. I almost gave them money thank goodness I called the sheriffs department and the clerk of courts and the state’s attorney to make sure it wasn’t real they left voice mails etc. Jason Edwards is who they said was calling said the company name was ccg

They keep calling from 844.475.2103 but the Blocked caller ID states it's from 844.326.4273. I've been ignoring them for a year. Some times I get 4 calls a day from them for a week then all goes quite for a month. I do enjoy the quite times.
