A woman called and said that she was with General Locating Services and asked to speak to my nephew saying they had a sealed complaint against him and he only had two hours to respond, she provided a claim number which she stated was in a sealed envelope. If you call the number back, you get a voice message stating you have reached the, "Jr. Group."  When you "Google" the number it comes up with an insurance company called the Jr. Group, it is for Final Expenses and is located in Sumter, SC.

Her story did not maks sense. She was unable to give me information on MY case.

I was also told there was a complaint against my step daughter and she had two hours to call back to National Services of location. Makes no sense to me. Also called back and referred to JR. Group in Sumter, SC.

A woman called from 325-500-0699 and said she was with GLS - Global Locating Services. Asked if I could accept a court summons for my husband and gave me another number to call 844-506-1287 and a case file number RW535. I asked her what it was about and she said that someone had lodged a complaint against my husband. I asked her who and she said the information was in an envelope on her desk and it was illegal for her to open it. So I called my husband and work and told him about the call. He called the 844 number and another woman answered the phone as Jackson and Robinson law firm and put him on hold. While he was on hold he looked up the number and found it was a scam and hung up. I was pretty shaken up by the call. This was a new phone scam approach for me.

We recieved a call from this number stating that we have unpaid balance to sprint , we never had sprint account.

Omg, that same thing just happened to me. I told her she's nuts my husband is an old man. It really upset me too.

So we got a phone call from a lady saying that we need to call this 844-506-1287 that somebody has made a complaint against my husband can you give us a case number so I Google the number before we called and now here we are.
The woman called claim to be a law firm but you couldn't understand what she was saying you call that number back and she's too busy to answer the phone she's with another customer.

SCAM by purported "law firm" called "Jackson & Robinson. Report to BBB.

This number 8445061287 has been calling and harrowing about an old phone bill I may or may not have had... I truly don't remember it was 10 yrs ago... I call the oh one company they have no record of it... these ppl he my first and last maiden name my old address as the 4 of my social... has been calling and harassing my family
I asked them to send me a final bill notice so I would know they are real so I can pay it they refuse to. I've reported them to consumer finance... they are looking into it. These peol8 called me 4 times in one hour I told them all 4 times to just go ahead and take me to court and they still won't stop.

Let them know the next time they call you are recording them (legal in most states). and you intend to have them prosecuted for attempted extortion and wire fraud.

this is  most definitely NOT A SCAM. everyone just says that because no body likes to pay a collection debt but they are the most compromising friendly collection agency i have ever dealt with. SO EVERYONE THAT SAYS THEY ARE A SCAM GROW UP BE ADULTS AND PAY YOUR DEBTS!

OK, so tell us the address of this wonderfully friendly collection agency.  You do love them don't you?  It seems that way from your post, and you must have some sort of correspondence from them, such as the dunning letter they mailed you, or the every popular "paid in full" letter.  Or don't tell us and it will prove that you are simply not being truthful.

9 to 1,  9 report of criminal activities and you being the only 1 drooling over them. I doubt anyone is going to bother giving your post any consideration towards being useful, other than to confirm these people are not legitimate in how they operate.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

I was told I to call 8445061287 and I did and they said I had an unpaid sprint bill and when I asked them to send me something in the mail they refused to so I hung up with them and I called sprint and they checked and they said I've never had an account with them.

Call me they said I had an unpaid credit card bill from 12 years ago.

J&R group called me and stated I owed a sprint bill from 2002 and for the amount of 964.60. Like the others stated she refused to send me any documentation to validate that this was a true debt. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she told me that they were unavailable and never transferred me to them . She also stated that she had all necessary paperwork to file a 10 year judgment on me for any of my assets! Check bbb and no record of this company Being in business. Wats even scary is that this woman had my full social which made me think this was real until I decided to do some research of my own . They also said they would take me to court but again refused to prove to me that this bill was valid !! Also told me that I had to make arrangements or pay it in full today to pull it out of processing or the 10 year judgement would be filed .
