They Keep calling half is a person, half is computer.  Keep threatening me action against my social security number, and a motion in my local court.  This is a scam.  I have no debts except my mortgage.

These jerks are harassing me and better stop or they will be sued.

Okay, they've been calling for someone in our office (who got on a list as a potential mark) since her husband died.  They've placed a 'hold' on her SSN which (along with other official sounding but meaningless gibberish) will supposedly prevent her from using her number for 'official purposes' until their magic 'hold' is removed.  Yeah, right.  They also are giving her this awesome opportunity to take care of this 'urgent personal business matter' before they 'file a petition with the county court'.  Unh huh.  And all this (plus unicorn farts and dragon giggles) will go away once she contacts their legal department (NOW, RIGHT NOW, AND BRING THE CHECKBOOK, *SUCKER*! ) before the end of business today.  Honestly, does anyone ever fall for this load of badly written fiction?  I mean, really?

Apparently, the name of these fiction writers is actually "Benderson, Beirman, & Associates LLC".  Not that it really matters considering, hello, scammers.  Bottom Feeders.  Fake Debt Predators.  Con Artists, etc.  I suppose we should at least be happy they're not on the public dole?

in the last 2 days  have received4 callers from Benderson Beirman & Associates threatening to put a hold on my SSN and any and all assets associated with this number-stating will be filing action with local county courthouse to take action today if I do not contact them by the end of the day...well if action was going to be taken that day if no contact from me..where is the sheriff with the arrest warrant!   total scammers-

So here is the computer message, "Billy Hardee (?)...my name is David Brown I've been retained ...some inside...your place of residence..your place of the... as per.. must give...your following parties contact information because you do have a legal right to attempt to stop your summons being sir now the name of the...party on your document...and... Occie its their telephone number is 844-531-0966 but I...."  some of the message was not transcribed correctly by my phone. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER as it may be set up to automatically bill you $100's of dollars for overseas fees.

They're now calling from a local number - 317-210-9072 - and an automated message gives the nonsense spiel that a hold is being placed on their victim's SSN and to call the 844-531-0966 number (which they say is Texas) to resolve this non-existent issue.  What garbage!
It's illegal to make such ridiculous threats according to the FDCPA (not that they care) It's also impossible to do.  Again with the fiction.  I wish 'scam' or 'con' was an option for 'Call Type'.  But it might be actionable...
They are *NOT* debt collectors as there's no debt.  They're crooks, plain and simple.
