They ask for your name, and when you ask who is calling, they give you a first name only, and say that it is about a personal business matter. I hang up and block.

Called my cell phone while I was at work. I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message. I have no idea who it is.

I  did not answer the call

I retuned call. Said his first name only. Said he was a debt collector but was asking for my ex daughter in law.

One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.  They often call people that have never even been associated with you because they get erroneous information off of the internet.

They call but won't leave message!

Called my job, I answered using name of company,  they hung up,  no idea who they are or who they're looking for

New program I downloaded yesterday blocked it, not in contact list. Then look them up. Always a scam.

Didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message. I guess they were not that important. If this was a true legit debt collector they would leave name and number and a message so I take this as a sign they are scammers.

Keeps calling and i keep hanging up.

continue to call and ask for someone who does not live here that owes them money..we owe nothing

Called left no message

My answering machine picks up immediately after the first ring. They never speak, just leave about 5 seconds of dead air after the beep. If they had a legitimate reason for calling me they could leave a message.

A real person left a voicemail to return call.

Just received a call with some techno hold music with the pikachu "pika pika" without my input my iPhone started playing on loudspeaker. Very strange.
