I received a call today from this number stating that I obtained a pay day loan and did not pay it back.  The company cash into check, ameriloan, is pursuing payment of this through NCR. I told her I didnt get a loan and she said no one would take a loan out with my name, address, and social security. She spoke perfect english but this number is out of India.  She said I will be served and can settle this in court.  We will see if I am served.

I have been receiving a call from this number, but it shows unknown on my caller id. Man is saying legal actiob on thursday dec 18 frok 12 to 5. Is this true?????

Total scam.  No legitimate process server notifies you in advance you are going to be served.

No legitimate process server calls you up in advance and tells you he or she is going to show up.  This is an attempt to scare people into paying the debt collector something.  Don't fall for it.

Legal one is a non-existent company so far as I can find.  NCR is possibly National Check Resolution.  NCR has an F rating with BBB

When you call that number some kid comes on the line and says they are the claims adjustment division or some other scammer double-talk.  No web address and no physical address.
Ignore these people and block their calls.

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

If they continue to bother you, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now. If you can find them.

Thank u i just got another call saying they would be out today n gave my current address then said my previous address saying they would be out with a deputy from my county! Lol he said be available with valid id umm ok if this isnt a scam thanks for the heads up nimb witt! Lol
