Somone named Johnathon left a creepy voicemail on my phone saying that he was a state courier looking to serve me with some sort of legal notice and that I had to call back at the 844 564 6248 number to let them know what time I wanted them to meet me. They did not say what State they represented or what business they were calling in regards to. I called this 844 number that they left and a guy named, "Joshua" picked up and told me that he was a "claims" representative with "RCC". When I asked what type of business they conduct, he said, "We work for many companies". When I asked that he name a couple of the companies that they represent, he got flustered and said, "I'm sorry? Huh, I'm sorry?" about three times as if he couldn't hear me or as if I was asking an absurd question. I said, "If you represent MANY companies, you should know two or three of them to name, correct?" and he quickly disconnected the call. I 'googled' this number and they are running this scam on many people, and it is a SCAM. From what I read in 'google', all of their numbers start off with '844'. Don't fall for it. They only have your name and number and are most likely trying to scare folks into sending money.

This number is Rcc  a collection company that calls you and claims they are a process server trying to serve you court papers. They try to get you to supposedly meet with them or let them come to your house.When you ask who is serving you they say "Im just the process server, the envelope says return address is rcc 844 564 6248 maybe you can call them to see what its about" so you call the number and they go through the collection process. Its a clever little trick. Theres no server on the way to your house the court documents are not filed and awaitinf your receipt.  This is just another ploy used by collection agencies. My debt was with bealls stores in florida for their store card.

Some Tips:
*Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time,date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.
