Received a call from a private number. Didn't answer left a vm stating they were investigator Jonathan Moore from legal services attmpting to notify me of a citation for my appearance and have been retained by legal services  to come out to my residence and place of employment to serve me papers and I would need to be available and that I could contact the original party at 8446001718 if I need to reschedule and I have been notified. I called the number back and the automated system said something about business management. I pressed 0 and then someone came on the line and I think she said her name was Arlene. I gave her the reference number left on my vm and she put me hold for like 5 or 6 min and then some man picked up the line talking real fast asked me my name and then told me the last 4 of my social dating that action was going to be taken against me for a payday loan yes for a judgment of a bad check for like 900 or something dollars and that they can settle for 500 or something dollars and if not I would have to pay 5000 or more dollars for the original amt and all these fees. First I asked him who he was since he failed to identify him self. He said his name was John with Recovery Business Associates or something. Then I asked what the dates were from when he was speaking and he was like Dec of 2012 and the default was like 2013. I told him o dont remember taking a loan out around those dates. I was familiar with the company as I had heard their name and o did previously take a loan with them but not that date. I asked him if he could send me the information or the documents and he said they will be sent to me in the form of a subpoena and I would have to sign for them. And I said oh ok. Thank you and he told me good luck. I'm thinking this is some sort of scare tactic for a collections agency.
