I am sick and tired of these fake people calling and saying they are the IRS.......  [***].......   Stay in your own friggin country and leave us alone.....  You are not getting any money out of me.

They are in their own country.

Indian or Pakistani scammer/extortionists.  Hard core.  Ignore and block the calls.  Block the entire 844 area code; it is often used by scammers when the spoof numbers.

The recorded message cuts off the first few words but the message says something about physical property being monitored and to call back immediately.  Very threatening tone, though it's a female recorded voice.

Got one today too. So scam event still cycling through.

Got this message. Really threatening.  Recorded female voice.  Said I needed to contact them or they were going to do something about my property.  I know that IRS doesn't make phone calls. Besides that, my IRS is clean.

"This is Alice Williams with a free recorded message that you are the subject of criminal investigation by IRS."
Call back the # of course.

The IRS reminds people that they can know pretty easily when a supposed IRS caller is a fake. Here are five things the scammers often do but the IRS will not do. Any one of these five things is a tell-tale sign of a scam. The IRS will never:
Call to demand immediate payment, nor will we call about taxes owed without first having mailed you a bill..

Demand that you pay taxes without giving you the opportunity to question or appeal the amount they say you owe.

Require you to use a specific payment method for your taxes, such as a prepaid debit card.

Ask for credit or debit card numbers over the phone.

Threaten to bring in local police or other law-enforcement groups to have you arrested for not paying.

I received a phone call this morning and did not listen to the message until later that night. The message was saying that they are the IRS and that the property is being watched and to call back immediately because there is a warrant out for my arrest. I went online into google, typed the number in and with all the helpful comments made sure it was a scam.

Got same voicemail message partly cut off from female needing me to immediately call back before taken to court.
Too many scams out there! Don't answer unless you know who's calling!

I called the back 3 times already. 1st call went on for 20 minutes until he realized I knew it was a scam and proceeded to tell me what he would do to me sexually. Second call I recorded and told him I could not get to the store to get the payment for him and he said he was calling the police at that moment and I told him I would hide under the bed and for him not to tell police where I was. Third call he proceeded to tell me how much I owe and that I had evaded taxed from 2009 to 2014. When I asked him if he even knew who I was he proceeded to tell me that he just wanted to talk to someone and that he was not the IRS. Think I will make another call lol.

By calling them back you just verified for them that yours is a "good' number and now you will receive more worthless calls (from other #s as well). Hope you enjoy them. You should not engage scammers-you'll never win. *67 does not work on toll free numbers like 844. Do not answer call you don't know and never call them back.

They did not call me they called one of our clients and scared the crap out of her. I work for a CPA and he was standing next to me when I called and was telling what to say. I will continue to call them and scam them like they are scamming others. They have blocked 2 of our numbers already and I know it won't last for long.

Since *67 does not work on toll free numbers and they can see your number, I hope (for your sake) they do not start using your number as a spoof number and start calling all kind of folks with your number showing. I hear paybacks are a bear.

this is at least the 4th call received from that number.  Claims they are from IRS and a suit has been filed against me.  IRS does not call, they send letters

Scam - said they have an arrest warrant for me, I'm being monitored (see LPH's note- very similar). I wish we could stop these idiots. Don't call back just Block the number.

These people threatened and I quote "Homeland Security and the IRS will get a sniper rifle and shoot you in the head A**&^hole". This will be reported to the proper authorities.
