    Every Saturday night at 2:01 AM this number appears on my call log.  I have blocked this number, but it appears that it is still calling out.  Who is this and why would I be calling them at 2:01 AM every saturday night and yet there is no log on my physical phone saying that the call was placed.  This only shows up on the call log through Xfinity. How do I stop this???

    Thank you Tygerkat.  I just got off the phone with Xfinity and they are saying that no one from their company is placing the call.  I am going to unplug the router this Saturday night and see if the call is again placed.  I am at wits end on trying to figure out how the call is being placed and for only 7 seconds.  I am not physically placing the call, so it has to be internal and I don't know why.

    More than likely it is an "internal forwarding" number used by Xfinity for Updates on their devices. A typical Xfinity employee wouldn't know, since they compartmentalize the company. Only a service technician could explain it for you. Watch your Modem at the time you say you get this 'call placed' and see if the Modem power cycles around that time.  Your Router won't have any impact on your phone service, since internet and phone are on the Xfinity Modems.

    Thank you Mike for the probable clarification.  When I spoke with a customer service rep last evening and told them about this ongoing calling I really felt that she thought I was the crazy woman on the other end of the line.  I have had the thoughts about the router placing the calls for updates and you have greatly helped me as "inquiring minds want to know"  I am still going to unplug my router on Saturday night before retiring and check my call log the next day to see if that stopped this.  I am so sorry that Xfinity is so compartmentalized and not at least giving their customer service reps a brief explanation.  Am I the only one that has noticed this call on their logs???  Maybe.
