i received a text message from this number indicating
"this message was for "kim *" . we have attempted to reach you by phone and have been unsuccessful. please call us at 844-364-4148 and reference " #####" immediately.
when i call the number it rings and then eventually disconnects.

I received 2 texts in 10 minutes stating they have tried to reach me. It references  ***** and I should call immediately.  I was disconnected when I returned call.

Did you receive any charges for the call on your mobile account?

I received a text from this number stating that I need to call back immediately.
I believe this number is a scam.

I have been receiving calls and today a text from this number telling me I need to call them....looking for someone I haven't seen in 30 years!!!  Ridiculoous!

First of all, if the call was legitimate, they would have stated who they were (name and/or company) unless they were a collection agency. Secondly, this number has never tried calling me.
I googled the number and found this thread along with others. One other post says the number is unsafe and not to call back. I then blocked the number, took a snapshot of the message, saved it to my phone and deleted the message.
The first thing you should do when you receive a call/message from a number you don't recognize is to search the number on your internet browser. If it's a legitimate business, it will most likely give you the name and location. If not, you'll find threads such as the ones here and elsewhere.
Never answer or return a call/message from a number you don't recognize. It's better to be safe than sorry. If someone is trying to reach you legitimately, they will identify themselves and most times leave a voicemail if you don't answer.

I received the same text. I replied stop and got an auto message saying I was removed. I deleted the thread and thought nothing of it. That was yesterday. Today they sent the same message to my ex husband but it was addressed to me. It’s very strange because I don’t use his number for anything. We’ve had different numbers since we’ve divorced so I know it couldn’t be from our time together.

I received a text message from that telling me to call them immediately and gave me an extension number. I never called or texted back. They also called and texted  my family members and someone that isn’t in my family.

Received the same text message just now. I googled the phone number and no bussiness name is related to the phone number. Another site marks the phone number as unsafe.

Received the Same text.  Searched the number referenced and found the text wants me to call AA.

got the same text today. not sure what its about. i only have one thing in collections and this isnt the same number i have been in contact with. It states a different number 888-218-5117 and same message as everyone else. I called it back someone named joshua larkins answered but I just hung up.
