- Angry Citizen| 1 replyGot a nasty message from a Ross Chambers from this number. Claimed I owed a debt. I do not. My account was not closed properly and it showed still open. Called the number and got a rude little girl on the line. Put me on hold and then claimed their fax wasn't working and I could scan and email the proof. I explained that I did not have a scanner and asked for the address. She refused. Said I "didn't have time," to mail it and she was trying to give me "an out." Repeated that I could mail it if she would give me the address. She refused again and started yelling. I told her I was reporting her to the Federal Trade commission and she hung up! SCAM!!!!
- Caller: Ross Chambers
- Call type: Debt collector
- Elspeth replies to Angry CitizenYou don't have to email or fax anything - debt collectors bear the burden of proof to show that you owe a debt and they have the legal right to collect said debt. Please do report them to the FTC and your state's Attorney General.
