Called the number back, got a robot recorded message saying "It's John Alexander, thanks for calling back" and then heard background room noise like in a call center.  Hung up and went and blocked the number.

I answered the call, but didn't say anything.    After a second or two I heard something like: "Hello, this is John.  How are you today? .... Are you there?" and then the call disconnected.    I think this is the (robo) John that wants you to help out the police, or firefighters, or first responders -- that sort of thing.   I think John  is pretty much fake -- much as any help to those groups would be.

As reported above, this robocaller tries to raise funds for various groups with a sophisticated recording that begins with a claim to be John, etc. Callbacks always get the same baloney of a speech. Block this fake.
