these jerks call every week & they have the wrong #. i owe NOONE! WHEN THEY call I answer,wait 1 second & hang up. I refuse to give them any info unless they send me 50.00 cash! I OWN MY PH & DONTHAVE TO TELL ANYONE,ANYTHING!

They keep calling my google voice number. They don't ask for me though. Blocked!

Caller I.D. only says "Toll free Call." They left a robo message for a person I have never heard of.

This number has called many times without leaving a message. Today I got the message that they were calling for a specific person (someone who has come up on my credit report because her maiden name was my married name and we have similar first names). I called back and they were perfectly fine with taking my number from their system.

I hope you did not give them your name and address or you may end up with a collection lawsuit against you for someone else's debt. This company has been harassing me with phone calls for a person unknown to me for several years. And when I answered and told them I was not the person they were looking for, it was simply: "Do you know the person?" "What is your name and address?" etc. This company is simply interested in collecting the money from whom ever they can so they can get their percentage of it. If they can harass you into paying it: GOOD. That is what they are all about.

need to stop being a fool. wasting time calling people without stating your business

Call all times day and night-blocked them.

The phone number 844-695-9395 call at least twice a week and I hang up on them right after saying hello.  The language they use is Spanish, I do not speak Spanish so no need to listen to the recorded voice!  We are on Do Not Call anyway...lol  Guess I should translate that in Spanish and put it on my voice mail when they call...

Why does this Number now known to me via this forum decide to place a phone call on a Sunday afternoon with no mailed correspondence prior to the call. Is it so, you can actually ask them to send verification of the "supposed" debt? Also, as far as I am aware Collection Agencies do not fall under the DNC List. It is primarily to stop telemarketing calls. Debt Collection if a true debt is owed is not considered "Telemarketing" they do however, have to follow the Time rule. I believe it is 8:00 AM-9:00 PM.
Last but not least when this company called me 15 mins ago, I was not near the phone it went to Voicemail. They did not leave a message. I have since blocked their number however, realize that they will use another number to call from. Watch out for phone spoofing. If you get a call on your Caller ID with your OWN NAME and PHONE NUMBER DO NOT ANSWER IT. It's either a Telemarketer, Collection Agency, or some other scammer. They are spoofing your phone information for their own purposes. Spoofing is now AGAINST THE LAW. Google it if you feel like it.
Many unscrupulous companies will use the Spoofing method for you to answer the call. Doesn't have to be just your name and number they can use some poor old lady's number just so you answer. DON'T ANSWER IT if you don't know the Number. Let it go to your machine or voicemail. If it is legit, they will leave a message.

*Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time,date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.

Voice mail for a debt collection company. I called them back and confirmed that I was not the person that they were looking for and they removed my number. Remember that these are just people doing a tough job when it's not a scam caller.

This call is from Southwest Credit Recovery Systems.  This is NOT a telemarketing call.   It is made in an attempt to collect a debt.  I am 100% sure of this information, because I just received a call from them in an attempt to locate my ex husband.

I agree with Kaye's information, before me.
I had the exact experience that she did.  I called them when their number came up on my phone.  They said they were Southwest Recovery Systems, in an attempt to find my ex husband.  They were very apologetic for bothering me, and said they would remove my phone number from their list.

They are calling at 8:47 p.m. on a Sunday. These a$sholes need to be stopped.

They keep asking for someone else on voice mail

I got a call from this company with a robo message. I did call them back at the number on my phone. It appears they are legit. Philip answered my call and was very pleasant when I explained that I do not know the person the are looking for and that I have had my phone number for well over 5 years. He promised to remove my number.
