They called stating that I owed for a credit card that was opened in 2008 and in good standings until 2016. Stated that it was through HSBC/ Household Bank and it had been taken over by lawyers in effort to collect!! Stated that I couldn't get documentation in regard to debt unless it was taken to court, but also offered to settle out of court. They called from (855)452-8564 when I called back a woman by the name of Lisa answered and transferred me. The woman I spoke to was very rude and short tempered, never gave her name or the company name she was calling from. This was the person who originally called and left voicemail to call (912)642-9003 ext. 1017. Spoke really fast and got upset when I asked her to repeat info. Stated that I would be served and would have to show in court to dispute if it wasn't settled now. They also use (844)699-2400 and when I called that number it was Lisa again and transferred me to the same rude lady and she asked why I was calling back since I refused to settle with and she had an attitude!!

Called saying I was paying on a credit card till 2010 was hsbc. Said I owed $1700 but they could settle for less. If I went to court I could pay over $6,000 in fees. They had my old 1st marriage last name, but then had current last name guessing from my phone number and current addres. I told them to serve me with papers.

This exact same phone call has happened to me twice stating the same HSBC account from 2008… they said they were going to take me to court, but could not provide any paperwork for me. What happened to you in this situation?

Called from 844-699-2400 and gave a 214 call back number. Said they were representing HSBC from a debt from 2012. Said they had been sending mail to old address. Had been calling and speaking to other phone numbers that they traced who then started to harass me about them calling. First of all, 13 years is past any legal statue of limitation to collect a debt. Obviously from the remarks above they call and use HSBC as the "client." I'm deeming this scam/fraud.

Received call, stated I owed $8000 for a past credit card that had a additional user on it and they were using from 2010-2023. I don't even live in the US for 20+ years. They would not give me any info on charges or statements. Said I could settle right now for $2000. They knew my address, last 4 of SSN, all sorts of random stuff. I told them to email me but they never did.

Received a call from "Bill Anderson" stating that i was being taken to court due to a credit card that I was sued over. They said the card was from HSBC but declined to give me any further information. My partner works in collections and what they are doing is illegal and violates many of the FDCPA rules and regulations. DO NOT give these people any additional information and under no circumstances give them any money. File a complaint with the CFPB or the FTC if you think this agencies has violated any of your rights.

Received a call from 844-699-2400 message was from Lisa saying that an account with hsbc was opened in 2014 and closed in 2021 using a name that I changed in 2005 . She said she works at pre lit service or stragedy and that she is verifying my address to send me legal paperwork through the national attorney . She spoke very fast . I told her that my name change was done in 2005 so nothing was opened in 2014 with that name I then hung up . She called and said paperwork will be sent to my address. I told her to send it .

I got a call from the same number 8446992400 . But I always google all tel number first if I  don’t recognize  where/who comes from . I read all your testimonials about this number . It seems all coming from a debt collector. They are must be a crazy scammers . Be careful guys next time don’t just pick up your call if you don’t know them .

Left vm and yes they got the transcription right - apparently they are concerned with medication I will be taking at some point lol 😆 “My name is Billy Anderson making contact with you from premedication strategies in regards to a legal matter that's been processed against your name and social. Have a great day.…” they are so nice - but I always know when you return their call and you don’t fall for their scam they get really mean in a hurry.
