I got a weird phone call asking for James Smith. The number to call back was 844-699-9129. I think it is some kind of scam.

I received a call from a 920 area code. It was from a Mr. Williams stating he was from a litigation team and needed my statement. There was a recording that said a very butchered version of my name. The call back number was 844-699-9129. This screams scam to me.

Most places don't give their last name, and never just their last name. No agency/company name was given (I work in a call center, we always give our first name and company name if we have to call someone, it's required). Phone number search leads to a bunch of 'who called me?' pages. And if I was involved with something that would require a statement to a litigation team, I would know.

I received a call from "Mr Williams"  that was exactly as Bee described above.  It certainly sounds like a scam.

I have been receiving a phone call from this number many times.  His name is Mr. Williams from Litigation.  I have nothing so I don't know what this guy is talking about.  I called the call back number and the person who answered would really not let me get a word in.

I received this a call from Mr. Williams. He says the exact same thing in my message as everyone is stating in there messages above. That jerk better get caught. He is a scam. He’s calling me from different numbers. Same voice.  My phone says Merced Ca, he has also used 844-830-5749, 844-764-8564, i have made a police report because its been a few calls already its annoying.

I myself have gotten the same phone call saying he was this Mr Williams and with the same line of bull. I too think this is a scam.  Did anyone get any feed back that this is a scam artist at work. I'm not falling for this. I have blocked this and other sme numbers.

I just recieved a call from this number. I didnt answer it, I just got a voicemail. stating the same think. However, this call was asking for me in my maiden name. I have had that name in going 10 years. This sounds like a scam to me,

This person called my husband phone for me, I have received many calls like this just don’t give any information. They get your information from other companies that you have used in the past.

They have called me twice now leaving the same message. Mr. Williams Martin senior mediation adviser from litigation on defrauding a financial institution asking for a statement from me. I have no idea who this person is and I'm 100% sure i never defrauded a bank. They called me from 307-683-1361 the first time and i called back and they asked for my phone number and got my number wrong and said they would remove my name from the list, but then I got a call today with the same message from 844-699-9129.

Call from 844-699-9129.  I asked them to spell office and give me the location they were out of.  They stated North Carolina. A quick google search came up with nothing so i quickly hung up the phone.

Same call from Mr. Williams.  My guess is they are some sort of bottom rung collection firm looking to collect on zombie debt that they recently bought for pennies on the dollar, which may or may not be an actual legitimate debt (you may have paid it off years ago).  I notice these calls come in spurts, as you can see in this thread, it's been about 3-4 weeks of calls to people.  Don't answer.  Don't call back.  They will go away.

Mr Williams from litigation recording. Tried connecting by pressing ‘1’ as instructed. When A woman answered ‘mediation dept.’ , I started speaking and she hung up on me.

As everyone above has stated I to received a call from Mr. William Martin from the mediation department, about a fraud on a financial institution, wanting a statement from me.  Since filing bankruptcy several years ago anything like this would have been discharged.  I won't be scammed by this chump monkey (my name for these low life scum).  People, do not answer these calls, if you do, NEVER admit that you have a debt.  They will try to scare you with jail and screaming at you that you owe this or that.  Hang up.

I have received the same call many times over the past 2 weeks, saying this is the final attempt to reach Felicia Hargrove. Same call, I called it back 3x and they hung up every single time. Called my cell Asking for a Felicia Hargrove, recorded message said he was from the mitigation department and wanted a statement concerning a banking institution fraud. I have had this number for over 6 years and don't know a Felicia Hargrove. Definitely Scammers!!!!!!!!

I got a call from a man named Mr. Williams about some litigation BS. This is scam do not call back, they will try to get personal info and claim you owe money. Don't give them anything!

Obvious scam. I was left vm to call this number. I called back and put them on hold for about 5 minutes before they hung up.
