It was to my cell phone with a name like American Mediation and my phone number was involved in a fradulent....I hung up.Obviously the no call list works for not.

this phone number called me because they said I had a debt with Check and Go. I called check and go and I owe that company no money they are trying to scam people

DO NOT call these people back, Its a SCAM!!!!! They identified themselves as American Mediation and they wanted to discuss my phone number!!!

They called my sister's cell first saying they were trying to contact my husband for committing fraud for not paying a pay day loan. Our debt was cleared through bankruptcy. I called our attorney that handled tge bankruptcy & was told to under no circumstances gove them any info due to it probably being a scam.

Thanks for the heads up from others. I got the same call from the same number..They sound official and threatening you are in some legal trouble.  THEY ARE a SCAM.  I suspected as I am not not involved with any debt stuff or issues, car accidents etc.  

These people have been harassing me for at least 6 months. demanding large amt of money or telling me im going to jail. they make me sick. this is a HUGE scam.

I just had this number call me and I called them back- they stated that I took out a Payday loan in 2012. They called the company "US Mediators" and said that there was a warrant for my arrest and that I could pay $700 or sit in jail and pay $5,000 for bail. What a joke. They gave me the name of the payday loan company and they knew where I worked. I spoke to the Payday loan company who verified that I have never taken a loan from them.

I know same here and they think if they use a different number we will answer it  I never answer  from any number I know Iam not associated with  or familiar with .. they are stupid scam people ...

Got a call from this number in Florida, saying they were American Mediation and had my phone number in their office as part of an ongoing investigation. Total nonsense.

They called my parents as well as my boyfriends sister claiming I had check fraud. My boy friend did a search on the number and found this place talking about them being a scam. They wanted $306.00 tomorrow and in 14 days that wanted the other $306.00 to keep this out of the courts supposedly. The company that supposedly loaned money was VC Funding. I called VC Funding and the company hasn't been in service in 10 yrs.

They are trying to act like US Mediation services out of St. Louis, Missouri. They do not have the same number. If you ask for a debt validation letter, they will not provide it!! Scam!!!!!

They will threaten you!!! They will harass you.  They are big scammers. You can not go to jail for non-payment of a pay day loan. Most of these places charge such an ungodly amount of interest that it's illegal. They know this!!

Just got a call...this has to be related to Marshall Green & Associates. They are hounding me and my family for a non-existing payday loan. They are relentless - the area code is the same as their normal number, which is (844) 573-0848. They became wise to me not answering the phone and are now using "unknown" number. Such a pain...

They're calling themselves US Mediation now, and are looking for money "on behalf of" VC Funding.

U.S. Mediation Services is a total scam.  They told me the CO State Attorney's Office was ready to issue a warrant for my arrest today and that I can pay directly (by depositing into a bank account or using a MoneyGram wire transfer) to settle this debt and avoid having this warrant issued for my arrest.  THIS IS A SCAM.  I called the Colorado State Attorney General's Office and spoke to their Collection Agency/Consumer Protection department and Mr. Tony Cordova (Administrative Asst. for the State of Colorado Attorney General's Office) and he told me that U.S. Mediation Services is an "unlicensed collection agency" and that they received my information from a pay day loan that I applied for on-line.  Then he encouraged me to file a complaint, which I did and he said the State Attorney's Office would issue a "cease and desist order" again U.S. Mediation Services to stop calls to my number and to others.  He said "it's the end of the year and companies like this prey upon people, especially the elderly."
