I live in New York State. Payday loans are both illegal to give and illegal to collect on.

I called the state attorney general, that's my information source.

they set it up, you get a call from a process server, they give you option to get served summons at work or call this number and settle outside of court.

you call this 844-704-5107 number and they use scare tactics to get you to pay. They have all your proper information. DONT GIVE THESE SCUM BAGS ANY FINANCIAL INFORMATION.

They called my work told me they were going to have the local police department come and arrest me for non payment of a bill that I didn't owe.  I called a credit bureau and what they told me was on it wasn't.  Thank god I called a credit bureau who is willing to help me.  They did use scare tactics, even threatened me that I was going to jail for 60 days over a non paid bill.  He harrassed the front desk at my place of employment.  It was awful.  

Debt Collector stating that I will be serve Harris county court documents, the name she use is Melody Hall.

This number called my 2/5/14 and said was being served a process from a payday loan that I thought I had paid.  I told them I would work a deal and pay off the amount.  Next week is to be my last payment.  Now when I call to find out where I stand the number says it is not accepting calls!  What do i do?  I have given them over 2800 dollars!  Watch out for them!
