this number called the office looking for an employee for collections. We advised him not to call back.. He continued to call back 11 more times and harassed and used foul language. - couldn't find the company or phone number on line.

Just called me and tried to sell me his scam for his client First Capitol Bank - who I've never heard of - when I laughed at him and called him a scammer and told him to contact my attorney he told me to be ready for court in 48 hours and slammed the phone down - Total LOSER

Number called and threatened my sister's that they were coming to search their houses. They had 2 different reasons why. When I called I spoke to someone who had part of my personal info but a lot of old info. I started asking questions and I was told to prepare for court.

They were saying I was an emergency contact 4 person I never knew who was I explained to them not to call me anymore I want to talk to supervisor and their address refused both hang up on me and kept refusing to talk to me and suppose and supervisor talk to me on the phone and gave me no customer service and hung up in me too total scam

These dbag losers.. spoke to a woman who claimed to be from an attorney named karen white.. gave me my ssn and my brothers snn. Claimed deputies were en route to serve papers. I unleashed a vulger tirade and called her an insufferable [***].. will continue to harass them daily.

This number has called off and on for a number of years stating that I am an emergency contact for a person I do not know. Even though I have the same last name, I never heard of this person before receiving these calls. I called them back today to notify them that I don't know this person and to stop contacting me. They began asking if I know another named person and further asked if I had children and grandchildren. My husband took the phone and asked them why are they asking all these questions and they hung up.

They have been calling me about an old bill that i owe and i went to the company itself and they gave me a totally different number to contact them on.

This number  8447344420 keep calling  said i owe for loan  and they have my personal  information  who are these people  why they trying to take  people money and they lie and put other people name down as and emgrencey  contact. They say they are a bill collecter attonery. Then u ask for there information  they give u fasle information  who are these  people.

I finally answered this number. They have been calling me for months. They said i was an emergency contact for a woman with the same last name as my previous married name. Intold them i don't know her. She said an officer will be out to my house Monday and tell them that. I called her back and she was very rude to me and hung up when i was asking too many questions.

They say I am an emergency contact for my daughter, whom they don't even have a correct name. I have told them several times to stop calling, but get yelled at and hung up on til they call and threaten me again. How can I stop them?

Well, at the very least you can block the number.

Get Smart!  No one can simply put a lien on the house.  They would have to go to court and win their case.  Tell me, who is "they"?  Where are "they" located?  "They" should have gladly told you all that.  This extortion scam works because people like you do not know what their rights are under collection laws.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.  If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.
